A resounding "No" on Kiffin

Do you really want to turn the LSU football franchise over to Kiffin?
Kiffin has some attributes for certain but every season he does, and will continue to, lose games by being arrogant and going for the "flash" putting his team at a disadvantage (think LSU, Florida, Kentucky last year). It hurst to lose to a team that plays better but it hurts even worse to lose due to stupidity. He will not change. A major reason for ole miss' success this year is their schedule which will be exposed when they get to the first playoff game.
Kiffin and ole miss are perfect fits (style and flash over true substance).
If we pursue Kiffin we will get strung along and miss out on candidates who will do just fine here. I just don't believe Kiffin deserves to be given the keys to this franchise (like giving the keys to your Lexus to your 16 year old daughter who runs it out of gas and scratches it up by being irresponsible).
Glad this is not my decision to make!!

We could use some flash. Think back to 2019. Now think back to 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

Whoever it ultimately ends up being is going to make some fans happy and some fans want to jump off a bridge. In the end, we'll all be pumped about a fresh new start next fall.
Let's let the money men work their magic right now. I have a feeling that LSU will not accept mediocrity after the last four years of Brian Kelly so in a weird way, I actually have confidence that LSU will make the right decision.

Only an idiot would say no. Kiffin turned Ole fricking Miss into a consistent winner.

After Kelly, taking risk with Lane doesn't make sense.
He has lots of talent, and maybe he has matured during his stay in Oxford.
Lack of maturity, erratic judgment sounds like Coach O.

I would much rather have Josh Heupel.
Guy has turned multiple programs into top tier programs.
Also he is fat.

I don’t fashion myself as an idiot and I would say no. Several reasons:
1) Kiffin is 25-16 in conference games since he arrived at Ole Miss. Not terrible, but certainly not great.
2) He has never led a team to a championship. Nothing to be ashamed of, but certainly not great.
3) He is disliked at every place he has ever been prior to Ole Miss. Not completely unheard of, but this is not an attribute.
4) Most importantly, You would have to give him a BK type of contract to leave Ole Miss and come to LSU (but only bigger). He loves Oxford and will make more than 11 million this year. If you entice him to Baton Rouge and he fails (which is certainly possible) it could bankrupt our program. His buyout, on top of of BK’s, could be the death knell.

i used to be the biggest lane hater but if you just actually see what he has built, he will change your mind
and some of yall are ridiculous. no matter who we hire, unless it is saban, yall will not be happy.

We didn't fire BK to go cheap on a replacement. Anyone we hire is getting a fat contract. 0 for 4 is impressive

I cannot see why he would come to LSU. LSU is not the easiest path to a championship that everyone thought. His chances are much better at Ole Miss seeing as he has them rolling already.
What would he move to BR for? Quality of life?

Kiffin would be our Spurrier, Darth Visor 2.0. Pair him with a great DC (I’m good with retaining Baker) and watch this team take off.
