There's no way you can justify keeping him. The man can recruit but has not coached a productive O-Line during his tenure. Last year, with two NFL tackles, we were abysmal in the run game.

The Jayden years are an anomaly.

He should be in the same Uber leaving campus as Joe Sloan.

I wonder if Frank believes it was Sloan’s scheme and wants to give BD the rest of the year to save face.. just throwing ideas out there

Yall Frank does not have the authority to hire and fire people. You don’t give your interim coach that ability. He may consult on it but this is all coming from the AD at this point.

If I were a betting man

I would bet that Wilson and Davis have collaborated to successfully make the case that Sloan was the problem and not their units.
Not a hard sell when you are the glue guys.

It doesn’t really matter whether Sloan and Davis are here for the rest of the season or not. They obviously won’t be on the next staff and the last four games are now completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Stop peddling this rumor. There is no evidence to suggest this is what happened.

And I don't think we should fire him until end of the season and we have someone lined up to take his place because the players love him and he's a good recruiter. Got to plan for next season and try to keep the roster intact.

The rest of the games are going to hurt. But we need to focus on keeping players and recruits.

Jayden being able to outrun problems made BK think he was an offensive genius.

I could take or leave Davis but I’m curious to see how the unit plays the rest of the way. The comments here and there have been that it was BK who didn’t prioritize physicality on the line and structured practice like the OL was made of glass, not much contact and barely any emphasis on the run game.

Arkansas did, as Petrino cleaned out the defensive staff as soon as he took over as interim.

I would have to think about who my choice would be for head coach but if Pittman the former HC at Arkansas would take the OL coach job at a higher than normal salary, he would be my OL hire. The guy was highly respected as an OL coach.

I'm trying to imagine what scheme calls for the O-line to get manhandled and driven into the QB on every play.

Brad Davis won't be fired now that Atkins has been named OC
