Would you be ok with Eli Drinkwitz or Jon Sumrall?

Those are the two best candidates I can think of. I don’t want Lane Kiffin and his mediocrity and lack of consistent success. He’s been a head coach for a long time and never won anything. He’s too Brian Kelly-ish.
Drink has had tremendous success in the SEC at a mediocre football school in Missouri.
Sumrall is a young 43-year old who is going to be a hot candidate after all the success he has had at Tulane. He’s very familiar with the recruiting scene in Louisiana. Also, he’s a former Kentucky LB so he’s an SEC guy. He’s also been an assistant coach in the SEC before.

This place would eat Drinkwitz alive

Yes. Probably prefer Sumrall of the two.

Sumrall, yes.
Drinkwitz is similar to BK in that he beats up on weak schedules and loses big games. He also has a weird personality that probably wouldn't work here.

Eli is legit. If he can make a shite hole program like Missouri into a top 15 team every year, he can make LSU elite again

I'm high on Sumrall. I think if we get him at a reasonable cost it would be worth the gamble.

Drink gives weirdo, pedo vibes

Mizzou historically hasn't been THAT bad.
Why are people so high on Drink but hate Kiffin when Kiffin has won 10% more of his games vs tougher competition?

Eli is making 9 mill a year at Mizzou.
You want to give that dude 10-11 mill?

Not really. Kiffin has had way more opportunities as a head coach.

Drink loses to every good team he plays.

Out of these 2 I'd prefer Sumrall. Drink doesn't fit here at all.
