i think he at least stabilized this program and the recruiting given the shitshow we were in 2020.

that being say, he had all the resources and top 3 NIL money.

you just can't regress like this.

Kelly’s record at LSU is 34-14 overall with a 19-10 mark in SEC play. He will leave his mark.

Started off great and regressed every year. Thankful for him not tanking us like SBB at Florida, but “not tanking” isn’t really worth $100million lol

In 2021, he wasn’t a bad hire.

CFB has changed a lot since then.

Wonder if he wishes he just rode it out a couple more years at Notre Dame and called it a career?

He took the chance but now neither us nor them looks at him prestigiously

I agree with this. It's essentially an entirely new job now. Watch the next 15 years as "influencer" types become the most successful coaches and not dour hardasses.

It's more than regression. He's the head coach and acts like he has zero control over anything in his program.

He knows the OC is calling dumbass plays, but he doesn't veto them. He just complains after the plays fail.

His defense can't contain a running QB, and he has no solutions to that either.

He might have been a good coach at one time. That time has passed.

I thank him for getting things back together for LSU. I was high on the BK hire. I thought he could make it right. Something changed last year. I think his desire for coaching left. Not sure if it was in his personal life or just tired but something was off. There was no way he thought the Joe Sloan hire was good. It never looked good and he just didn’t fix anything. It definitely never aligned with the style that BK likes. One day we will find out everything.
