Any thoughts about Mamdani from someone registered to vote in NYC?

One of the things I value about PoliBoard are people's personal experiences. Do we have anyone on here who is registered to vote in New York? What are your thoughts on Mamdani?

It doesn’t matter. Mamdani will win by single digits and Silwa’s 12% will be the difference. Silwa is likely compromised or promised something to help him win

I see the well-sourced attacks on Mamdani on this Board. Just wondering if they have any sway on people who will actually vote in that election.

Just a hunch but I think come Election Day you’ll see that his popularity among true New Yorkers is nowhere near what it purports to be. There are simply too many New Yorkers that were affected in some way by 911 to ever support the things he’s saying and doing.

The left is hellbent on destruction. But America is bigger than NYC. If what happens, happens—Mamdani is a warning for all Americans.

Enough to make a difference? What percentage chance do you assign to Mamdani losing?

The problem is that Cuomo has the name recognition, but everyone hates him. Both sides.
The Republican candidate no one knows.
The communist will back his way into the win. And the powers that be knew this was a golden opportunity to get an actual communist in such a high level political position.
Then they will make their paid for media promote how well he's doing.
This is NOT something we want

Just as Newsom's results in California are an advertisement FOR Republicans, I think Mamdani's performance in NYC will be the same, despite undoubtedly favorable coverage from MSM.

The future Mayor is one of them

Mamdani may win an outright majority. Sliwa being in or out ain’t changing the outcome. It may actually keep Mamdani from winning 50%.

He's getting to be like Harold Stassen at this point

That's a good point. Makes you wonder why mainstream Democrats didn't coalesce around another viable candidate who wasn't as loathsome as Cuomo.

I think the poli board is out of touch about a lot of things, including this guy.
I’m planning a trip to Long Island around Mardi Gras though. I wonder if the election will indirectly affect flight prices.

This won’t be decided by New Yorkers, this will be decided by foreigners and illegals.

By all means please bring this board back into touch about this guy.
What is this board missing about this America-hating Marxist ?

The Democratic party nominates a communist who's never had a job and since the Republican nominee won't drop out it is his fault NY is going get a communist mayor? You guys are all about accountability.

Silwa is the head of the Guardian Angels. He's well known in NYC.

I don’t claim to have a deep understanding of NYC politicians.
