Yes I have heard this same thing.
Conversations are around how to come up with money.
The answers are that it doesn’t make sense and we can’t come up with the funds. Needs 150+ mill (buy out, new coach and future players)

The governor being involved is making sure that LSU isn’t over-spending…he wants much more equity relative to the UL system

It probably doesn’t hurt to have the governor sign off on a move and maybe kick some money in, but his input on coaching hires would be more harm than good.
