"Yeah, I'd be lying otherwise," Newsom replied. "I'd just be lying. And I'm not — I can't do that."
Newsom, whose term ends in January 2027 and is prevented from running again due to term limits, cautioned that any decision is years away.
"Fate will determine that," he said, when asked about whether he is moving closer to working out a reason for a national candidacy.

Only in today’s America would a complete fraud with the horrendous record of actual governance that is Gav’s, be able to completely ignore his own record and still position himself as a serious candidate for president.
Of course it helps tremendously to have (1) a national Corporate media that’s 99% completely in the tank for one political party to ably assist him in ignoring his record and (2) a completely ignorant voting base of the party’s nomination he’d pursue who are all about style and external appearances over anything substantive and factual.

Yeah, newsome can't lie! Ha! He lies like a rug.
The problem is he is possibly the best liar i have seen.
This idiot has fricked up California. They had a recall effort because he was so bad.
However, the democrats control the media. He has charisma. The man is good at deceit.
He can weave a tale like no one else could. I remember watching him debate DeSantis. I thought DeSantis was going to destroy him. While I thought DeSantis won, and he had all the fact supporting him, I was surprised at how well newsome did not only work just no facts supporting him, but by the facts being an anchor around his neck.
He had started moderating with his podcast.
This is the guy who will most likely be running in 2028 and he is dangerous.
