I have no idea who is a better option for HC but when it comes to jobs, ours is the best of the jobs currently open .

- the only other 2 that can be considered on our level are Florida and Penn state.

Both of above have their issues.
We offer incredible opportunity.

LSU would be above Florida and Penn St. Texas would be above LSU if it opens up

It would be better if you went and ran your crab pots and left the football talk alone

Depends on the personality of the coach. If you are a west coast guy and prefer the big city, you are applying for UCLA not Penn State or LSU.

We broke.

Texas, tamu, bama, Georgia, Tennessee are for sure better in the conference.

Arguments for Auburn and Florida could be made that they’re on par with lsu

LSU is so far beneath Penn St. FLA and Texas in this New NIL Landscape....

I mean like 5 tiers below them.

Harsh truth but the truth nonetheless.

The people calling LSU a top job aren't paying attention.

Two of the dumbest coaches in the history of CFB have won titles at LSU, it has to be the easiest place to win a natty.

did you know that Miles and Orgeron never had to coach at LSU during NIL?

did you know they had in-state recruiting advantages when this was still college football?

It's semi-pro now. les and orgeron would get demolished at the helm also in this environment.

Not a single one of which has an opening at this point

And there is no way that auburn is a better job than ours.

The only one on that list that is on level is Georgia. Main university in a talent rich state with culture of winning.

Most coaches worth their salt would want to be at LSU. Tons of opportunity

Playing devils advocate. Instead of paying 100M to fire and hire coaches. Why not buy a really good QB and OL for like 7M?

From a standpoint of resources, fan base, tradition, and local talent there is only UGA, Bama, UT, and Ohio State. Anyone else is even at best.

It’s close and I’m not sure I’d agree, but it’s much more delusional to say we’re significantly behind Penn ST and Florida

is it?

Louisiana is a cronyism state, poor and uneducated.

All this big money involved, and NOW we are gonna get it together?

The only advantage we had was proximity, but that was before money was the deciding factor in recruiting.
