The New Orleans Saints have said they're not interested in trading away one of their wide receivers, but league sources believe Rashid Shaheed can be had for the right price.

Teams continue to call the Saints regarding the trade availability of Shaheed and fellow receiver Chris Olave, sources told ESPN.

The Saints are attempting to re-sign Olave to a contract extension, and sources believe New Orleans would like to receive a third-round draft pick in a trade involving Shaheed.

Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks also is a candidate to be traded ahead of the NFL's Nov. 4 deadline, according to sources. If dealt, it would mark the fifth time in his 12-year career that Cooks has been traded.

The three teams that appear to be most aggressively pursuing a wide receiver before the deadline are the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos, according to sources.

Olave also sounded confident speaking to reporters about the possibility of sticking around New Orleans long term, saying he and the Saints were "on the same page" when asked about contract talks.

Saints general manager Mickey Loomis told WWL Radio on Tuesday that the team has fielded calls about a few players, but declined to identify them.

Personally I rather trade Olave .

He's due a big contract and he's already had several concussions.

Don't need that uncertainty.

If I was going to give a contract to a Saints wide receiver, that would be Shaheed.

I think both Shaheed and Olave will be showcased today.

Maybe/maybe not to drive up trade value.

It's just I could see Tampa trying to take to take the Saints run game AK and Neal and make Rattler throw it a bunch.

So trade the guy that is actually good at his job and give the overrated guy sho won’t go over the middle WR1 money. This team deserves what it gets every single day they keep Loomis in charge. Watch Sean get Shaheed for a 6th.

Typical Loomis. Trade the WR they shouldn't trade but keep and give a huge extension to the WR they absolutely should trade. Makes no sense but it's probably gonna happen.

Trade both of them. I really don’t want to pay either of them at this point.

Loomis will probably throw in a 3rd just to ‘even’ out the trade…..

Yeah, this team needs to stop putting it off and take a couple stud WR’s in the draft.

Not if we wind up trading Shaheed to the Broncos. All hell would break lose!

If you could get a 3rd for sheed, you do it. He isn't a true #1 and bound to cost too much soon.

Some of yals hate for olave is blending into overvaluing sheed. In reality you get rid of both, but if you're paying 25m-30m for olave or 20mil for sheed, you pay olave.

I wouldn't give up Shaheed for less than a first.

This will prove how bad the Vele trade was. If we would get a third, it’ll be from a team picking in the late third. Probably will only be a few spots further from what we gave Vele up for.

And if we could get a third for him, it’ll woulda happened already.

You shake someone’s hand off for a 3rd. He’s a one dimensional good not great speed guy that is 27 and you’re going to have to pay.

A fifth for Cooks would be surreal.

Im guessing Omelette brains doesn’t have many suitors so we have to sacrifice Sheed.
