Solid pitching development last year. For how much shite he got last year, he did a great job

By tournament time he seems to always have the staff on point.

The regular season is used to try to develop dependable arms. By the time the post season gets here he has 5-6 very dependable arms that he can ride until the end.

The rocky roads whenever we are throwing 12-13 different guys out makes people panic a bit, but come post season you don't need that many arms and it works itself out.

And probably will early in every season. He really did take a while to figure out calling pitches for Eyanson. But he figured it out and that’s all that mattered at the end.

The knock when he got here, if you could call it a knock, was that his development timeline for guys was always improving over the course of multiple seasons and that may not play well in the portal era. He kind of put that to bed last season.

It’s not going to look good all the time early in the season, but by the time it really counts it will be there.

There are several videos out there on YouTube where Yeskie goes into great detail about he & his staff's training techniques in the pitching lab. He makes it quite clear that their goal is to develop pitchers for the long season, not "next week's SEC series". "Jay & I share the same goals for the pitchers: develop them so that they are MLB ready by the time they leave & prepare them for the playoffs." There's a big reason he just got that length of an extension. Nothing happens that Jay is not 1000% behind.

Diversion. Woodward knows everyone is pissed. It was the best thing he could do to create a diversion. Yeskie deserves the contract. Funny how it happened when Woodward knows fans are tired of BK.

We’re giving Woodward credit for this? He better damn well do what JJ says when it comes to baseball.
