The LSU Board of Supervisors approved price increases for certain football season tickets and parking passes beginning with the 2026 season.
The board approved increases across multiple seating sections and parking areas, with the athletics department estimating the changes will generate approximately $5.368 million in additional annual revenue.
quote:
Premium seating areas will see the largest increases, with West Clubs rising $100 per seat and Low West Box and Low East Box sections increasing $125 each.
East Sideline sections will increase between $50 and $125, while West Sideline sections will see increases of $25 to $100.
End zone seating will have more modest increases, with North End Zone sections rising $100 and South End Zone sections increasing $100.
South 600 Upper and East Sideline 3 sections will each increase $50, while several sections including East Suites, South Suites, Accessible Seating and South Club will see $25 increases.
quote:
The board approved new season parking rates for existing lots and authorized two new paid parking areas.
Lots 103, 104, 105, 106 and 206 will cost $750 for season passes. Lots 101R, 401R and 412, along with Old Front 9 sections 1 and 2, will also be priced at $750.
Two new parking areas were added: Lot 403 at $750 and Nicholson Garage at $750. Lot 308 will be priced at $600.

The board also approved an amendment allowing the athletics department to assign additional paid parking lots at comparable prices to existing nearby lots
Football ticket and parking rates were last adjusted in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

Unless it is to help offset the impending coaching change.

Well, the most likely and rational reason the BOS wants to increase revenue is to offset increasing costs.

they are pricing out the real fans with this BS which is why you see the stadium half empty in the 3rd quarter of one score SEC games

LOL... unless we actually run the table.. I predict lots of non-renewals... the cost coupled with the hassle and current game day environment is going to continue to drive "real" fans to their living room to watch the games on a 100" TV... cost is constantly rising and yet everything about the gameday experience it getting worse... crime is worse, parking is worse, concessions are worse, etc... I can't actually think of 1 aspect of the gameday experience that has gotten better in the last 5 - 10 years.

They did that years ago.

Between this increase and the yearly payment for Ed O coming off the books in December. This adds up to enough to start making a yearly payment to BK to not coach. Sounds like they are getting their house in order, in case BK shites the bed over the next three weeks.

really good perspective imo. the costs are absolutely absurd, wanting >$100 to park in the damn cow fields? absolutely nothing has improved about the gameday experience, it has indeed got worse and just more monetized and commercial

Premium price should equal premium product.

I'm sure your argument has been used since before 1997, but I remember it then. Student tickets were $5 a game, etc. Same complaints out of your kind then too.

buddy we won 7 games from 1998 - 1999, they may have had a point
you could also park in the cow fields off river road for free

They destroyed the game day experience long ago when they closed the Student Union to visitors on games day. This is a problem that could have been easily fixed. Now, we come to the game just before game time, park, go to the game, fight the traffic for 2 hours and leave. There is no gameday experience on campus anymore. We are questioning whether we will renew our tickets after 15 years.

Hell you could park almost anywhere on campus for free. And a bunch of buildings were open so you could use the bathroom.

This is concerning. There really isn't anything free on campus anymore and they lost a whole area for the new dorms.
