So where do the locals go for a good fun "date"?

It's not a fancy date or anything, Dave and Buster's? TopGolf? Any special food place?

Lafayette Travel: Events

Lafayette Comedy

Downtown Events

Heymann Center Events

Links above for scouting things to do.

With the weather getting nice, could make your own food & drink crawl downtown out of the following places:

Wild Child Wine/Tsunami/Pamplona/Central/Spoonbill/Minami/Vestal/Tons/Reve/Hideaway at Lee

End the night at Hideaway and Blue Moon, usually have good music at one of those two.

The Boardroom will open at 4 pm on 10/24. It's where Ninety 9 Bistro was. It's got a great looking interior with an appeal to hunters (lots of stuffed animals and birds). They will serve good food, great drinks and a great atmosphere. It's also across from Palmyre so that lil block will be hopping !
Great ownership group too!

This sounds like a good time. One of my favorite things to do for date night is to grab a glass (or bottle) of wine at Wild Child and then walk to a restaurant afterwards.

I’m going to pimp for my buddy Aristos.

Poseidon’s is really good food, even if you’re like me and not a fan of Mediterranean typically. They do great steaks, lamb chops and shrimp & chicken alfredo.

And if you and her like cocktails, their bartenders don’t gyp on the booze. You’ll get your money’s worth there.

I'd do drinks and small plates at Wild Child & Pamplona as mentoned. Not a cheap date, but certainly some fun to be had and easy way to continue to date afterwards if things are going well.

Yea getting a table during one of their holiday pop ups without a reservation is practically impossible unless you happen to get very lucky, even the bar practically never has an open seat.

We do a Christmas restaurant crawl downtown with a group of friends and always talk about doing it again for a date night but never have. Basically get drinks and 1 or 2 things to eat at each stop, then onto the next. Last year we did Spoonbill, stopped at Pamplona but was too packed, Vestal, Minami, Central Pizza, Tsunami, and ended up at Legends.

Honestly I’ve found the food is much better when an event is not going on.

Agreed, the pop ups are fun, especially with a group, but I much more enjoy a normal night for a date night.
