.....oh wait, I do...:ROR:
Chinese attempt to reverse-engineer Dutch chip lithography machine.
I thought China had developed in-house technology that was bleeding-edge advanced so why are they trying to figure out an older Dutch machine?

An Attempt By Chinese Technicians To 'Decode' ASML's DUV Tools Miserably Failed & Ironically, The Dutch Firm Was Called to Help
The Chinese semiconductor industry faces a critical barrier in scaling up chip production, primarily due to the lack of lithography equipment in fabs. This limitation has confined firms like SMIC to a specific production volume and prevented them from scaling up significantly for several years now. Apart from developing in-house alternatives, it seems like Chinese engineers were actually keen to 'reverse engineer' ASML's DUV equipment, according to a report from The National Interest. Now, in the process of opening up the equipment, the individuals broke down the DUV machinery.

Communism stifles innovation, which is why they have to steal from capitalists.

Well, the pursuit of a lithography breakthrough, Chinese engineers reportedly managed to 'break' ASML's DUV equipment, and actually called out the Dutch firm to sort out the problem.

Is there any way the entire chip industry relies on that single Dutch made machine?
Theres no way this is true. Makes more sense that this story is bullshite than it being true.
This is some sort of propaganda deal like the US leaked Russia fake plans for the space shuttle.

Just the best chips. Not the entire chip industry.

The Chinese don't have a policy of IP theft? You're dumb.

Sounds like there is more to it than duplicating the machine. The technology to make the sub components of the machine are also single source.
What other technology we got that’s not able to be duplicated.
Out of 8.25 billion people in the world nobody can duplicate or come up with something better.

Close, but it is more cultural than that.

No because they are the best out if 8.25 billion people.
The people that can create and invent this stuff are really outliers brains wise and I bet most are odd ducks socially. It’s crazy shite.
Here is a video of basically what it is:

Yeah, I’m sure he was under that “you figure out how chip work or we kill famaree “ type pressure.
They would still be a bunch of paddy dwellers if they had not stolen so much technology. Now instead of farming rice, they assemble iPhones.
They’re the same as the old USSR. Just a paper tiger with slave labor.
