Looking for a good game cart. While hunting MS I’m 99% solo. Some places allow atvs for game retrieval but some areas don’t. What is a good game cart where 1 fella can get a deer outta the woods with?

It’s hilly where I hunt, not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks fellas!

I got one from academy. Not fancy, does the job. Get one with big wheels.

Are you required to bring them out whole? An internal frame backpack with a game bag would be a lot easier than a cart.

This. frick bringing a whole deer out. Cut out what you want and leave the rest for the buzzards.

This. I ain't dragging a deer more than 100 yards unless it's legally required.

With a lil bit of preparation and a few items it’s way easier to be done in the field if the drag is longer than 50-100yd.
Decent pack not in order, (mystery ranch, ebrelstock, kuiu, kifaru) game bag to somewhat keep your pack clean, lawn bag to lay on the ground to stack the meat on and some 550 cord to tie a leg if you need too.

No. As long as you show proof of sex you can field quarter

Imagine dragging a deer out of joyce or tunica.

No way in hell am i doing that

I just gut and cart it back gutted. Too easy to quarter while hanging under my deck in the back, I don't need to carry that junk, even if quartered. The hills suck. I've even put 2 (one was a small doe) on the cart at the same time. Even with wheels that was work.

Go with the crawler. I’ve owned and used several other types. Nothing comes close to it

Also I’ve quartered up several deer and packed them out until I realized I wasn’t gonna be Jeremiah Johnson no matter how many deer I packed out. It’s cool and all and really lets us get a taste of how it was done 150 years ago, but it ain’t easier than wheeling one out on a crawler and taking to a rack. Not even close.

So much easier, cleaner, and just better to clean one at a dedicated skinning location with water, table, light, etc

Depends on terrain, would much rather pull a wagon or cart with some tall skinny wheels through where I hunt than drag a sled.

If you're hunting in a lot of loose sand, mud, or snow, where the wheels will dig in, then a sled is the way to go.

If you're wading through cypress swamp full of knees, then you probably need a pirogue.

I’d pack it out, if legal.

Have a buddy that has a crawler, might try it out.

No matter what I get the hills will kick my butt. I’ll have to come up with some sort of pulley system.
