Why do we have to pretend inner city kids are in hopeless situations?

Some kid shoots up a bus stop spinning the block in a dodge charger? “WELL YOU SEE THESE ARE BROKEN KIDS!! They never saw any hope for a better life and that’s why they listen to YoungBoy and kill people!!”

1: Millions and millions of poor people don’t ever commit a single crime in their entire lives.

And

2: These kids literally could join the military and be “out the hood” within weeks with full educational benefits and steady income with housing. They could have actually tried in school and had access to thousands of scholarships for any inner city kid who could learn to write his name.

I’m sick of this shite man. And some will say their parents are shite, well that’s true too! But it doesn’t excuse it at all.

These youths need opportunities. Chances to be enrolled in safe after school programs, hearty breakfast and lunch served free of charge, and summer job opportunities.

They literally already have all that.

That’s what you think. In reality these programs are being cut by billionaires.

They just need to be raised right and kept out of public schools if possible.

We dont have to live like this. We know what needs to be done.

But people would rather let the problems continue and grow, but ban me if i said what needed to happen.

Silly world we live in.

I recently watched a documentary (by a british sounding white dude) about "O block", some project in Chicago that is particularly crime ridden.

What struck me was the narrative that these kids saw little way "out"... the white dude basically said sports or rap was the only tickets and not everyone could be talented enough to make it.

Since WHEN is rap or sportsball the only way a kid can make it in life? Ticked me off.

Anyway, the "hopeless" moniker is just there to excuse individuals and the society they reside in from blame... and to avoid toiching the third rail of WHY it is WHAT it is.

The military should be more of an option and more engrained at an early age to everyone as a good thing and bright future. Unfortunately, unless there’s family history, it’s looked at as a last resort, a bad decision, or compared to jail. Need to have more positive Uncle Sam outreach, advertising, and promotions.

Went to high school with a complete thug who may have been the best athlete I’ve ever seen. As he got older and later into high school, he started getting into worse and worse stuff influenced by neighborhood gangs. Eventually got arrested and given an ultimatum of jail or enlisting.

I ran into him at a Walmart several years later and he was a completely different person. Completely turned his life around. Was successful, well spoken, clean cut, and had a very nice family.

Their bad behavior is definitely more the fault of billionaires than their own parents, right?

We have to stop giving families incentives to not work and force them to be productive. Many don't have a reason to or want to get out when you don't need to work.

Parents need mentors to look up to. How else are you supposed to know to emphasize school and good behavior?

Send them to military school if they’re so interested in guns and violence

This was true 30 years ago even in New Orleans. I had a black friend that did a "big brother" type thing to one or more younger kids. I remember how disillusioned he was after spending time with them. Those kids thought the same thing. He was upset because they lived practically in the shadow of Xavier University but the kids didn't even know what it was.

Edit: I should add that the kids actually WANTED to become drug dealers, because they looked up to "uncles" or other older males that seemed to have money or prestige in their circles.

Sadly, a lot of kids are taught this from birth. They cannot beat the odds so they must get ahead via sports. Momma guilts them that it's on them to save the family and all the bum arse clingers on.

It’s not even that these kids don’t understand that others have normal jobs. They literally go to the gas station every day. They see the mail man.

They WANT to be rappers or ballers. And they can’t imagine doing something they don’t WANT to do. It’s not that they don’t know they could do other shite.

That is sad.

There are definitely resources out there and every organization would love an opportunity to pull a disadvantaged youth up and out of "the cycle"... but when a society promotes victimhood and allows laxity in education, the kids just aren't going to be interested in regular careers, trades, education or "boring" lives. They literally do NOT want it.

I sometimes wonder how close we are to being done with it.

At some point we’ll have progressed so far that it won’t be acceptable, even for the most left wing flaming retard, to put up with the bullshite.
