I think the American people are grasping it. And it seems a little surreal, but it is coming home when you see that my state of Louisiana now has 257 confirmed cases and seven deaths. Nine days ago, we had one case. Now we have 257. It is spreading. So I think that's coming home. I'm very worried. This has the potential to follow the track of what has happened in Italy, where there is a rapid increase in the number of cases, and the hospital system becomes overwhelmed. I will say, I'm working closely with the White House, closely with my governor, all levels of government, to see what we can do to expand capacity. But, ultimately, Judy, if somebody doesn't go out, does not infect another, that has tremendous impact upon whether that other person will live, flatten the curve, if you will.

What a surreal time... that was March 2020... I think then I was still wiping down my groceries and soap washing my produce, like an idiot.

I can’t stand BC, but he wasn’t alone in that line of thinking.

I say that as someone that was almost fired for refusing to engage in the stupidity.

President Donald Trump on Monday acknowledged the gravity of the coronavirus pandemic, releasing strict new guidelines to limit people’s interactions in an increasingly urgent bid to slow the virus in the next two weeks before U.S. hospitals are overwhelmed. “We have an invisible enemy,” the president said at a news conference, where he released guidelines that called for people to avoid gathering in groups of more than 10 people, steer clear of eating and drinking at bars, restaurants and food courts, and work or attend school from home whenever possible. “This is a bad one. This is a very bad one.”

I bought the lie too just not for as long as most people did. I wore a mask to the doctor's office and the doctor said "You can take that off. They don't work."

Like I said…he wasn’t alone.

Honestly, the “two weeks to slow the curve” was not a deal breaker for me. If it worked even slightly (which I’m not sure that it did), then the policy may have allowed for hospitals to gear up to a degree. Again…I disagreed with the policy, but at least there could have been some logic ascribed to it.

After those two weeks though…we should have just rolled with it.

Make the “vaccines” available to those in need first, then allow whomever to get the shot.

The response was worse than the “pandemic” imho.

Cassidy has reached the end of his political journey. His betrayal to the Republican party and the conservative movement is unforgivable. He joined ranks with evil-assed, lying Demorats to impeach Trump and for that he must pay.

They sold panic like nothing I’ve ever seen. I hope I never see that level and scale of manipulation again.

Given the pesticides, bugs and other garbage that come on produce at least that wasn’t a waste.

Y'all might as well accept the fact that Cassidy is going to win because Louisiana Republicans are morons. I had hope until I saw them vote for Rispone over Abraham and hand the governorship to John Bel. Our current governor is essentially a shrimp boat captain in the pocket of trial lawyers.

Now a bunch of small bit players are going to argue over who caught more of Trump's drippings and Cassidy will just walk back into office.

What a count.

If Louisiana votes this guy back in there is no hope.

This is something which happens regularly, where a virus moves from one animal into human beings.

The Chinese physicians have been outstanding in sharing medical information with the rest of the world. And I was, just before you got on, reading several "New England Journal of Medicine" articles published by Chinese about whether this medical therapy works, what's the impact of children.

I could go on. Speaking now as a physician, the international collegiality among health care workers has been fantastic. And just as we need Washington to work well with the parties and with people who are not in Washington, our medical community has to work well internationally, because this is an international issue. We are truly in it together.

Trump has proven that even if you're out-fundraised, you can still win. Hopefully there is a viable candidate to put this mofo out to pasture.

How has the LAGOP not waded in here to start working to stack the deck against him? How is this fricking happening?

It's gonna be real fun sitting back and watching this guy keep his seat. Just more proof that Louisiana is too stupid to ever rise up. It will be the country's armpit until the literal end of time. Another reason why I've forbidden my kids to settle here. What kind of parent would I be? shite, I'm already probably doing them gross disservice keeping them here through high school.
