With Saints Top 3-5 Draft pick ……

First of all… there are no franchise QBs for Saints to capture with that pick…. So let’s just shut-down that crap talk right now.
You got Rattler and Shough for 2026.

1st Rd… best DL available (Pass Rusher preferable)

2nd Rd…. RB looking to the future. Miller has EXTENSIVE history of injuries and can’t be relied upon…. Now he’s torn his knee apart (sorry for him and Saints).

3rd Rd……Best OL or WR available

4th Rd…….Take position not taken of the 2 choices in the 3rd.

5th rd to the Drafts End…… BPA

** Need to trade a vet for extra draft pick

Underhill put out a good scouting piece today and he (plus scouts) have concern about the size of Bain (Miami pass rusher), especially his arms (estimated to be maybe as short as 30")

I'm getting more and more into the idea of Arvell Reese. Guy is just a beast and could be a Parsons type player for us

Don’t see Saints drafting DL in he first round. Still have Granderson and Young (who will be in a contract year, we all know that could be a good thing or bad thing).

They should be drafting an offensive weapon with the first pick. WR or RB. Gonna need to think about LB soon as well, I’m sure we all know why.

No way we’re taking a RB or WR with a top 5 or higher pick. That would be dumb

Which would be the best time to draft them. As much as it pains me to say it, I expect the Saints to be active in FA this offseason to try and use vets to plug some holes (too many even for Loomis to fill at once). Which will help out the team in a position to draft BPA. If their in the top 5, the way this draft is shaping up with another year of no sure fire franchise QB, DL most likely will be the BPA

If you are not taking a QB that early (and, I don't disagree given what will be available), I'd trade back to acquire more picks. There's not a position on this team that doesn't need upgrading, so the more picks the better.

Whatever the Saints do, don't fall for the hype for Clemson DT Peter Woods or Edge TJ Parker, no matter their stats, PFF grade, film or combine measurables.

Outside of Dexter Lawrence, I'm hard-pressed to name a 1st RD Clemson DL that lived up to the high pick expectations.

Christian Wilkins, Clelin Ferrell, Myles Murphy, Bryan Breese, even Edge/LB/S tweener Isaiah Simmons have all underwhelmed and/or shite the bed.

I don't know why, but they do. Maybe it's their college coaching, maybe it's their conference competition, maybe it's both. (???) All were bluechip recruits that shined at times in college, looked the part, but just never translated to the NFL cornerstones they were drafted to be.

Honestly every pick needs to be BPA at whatever position is available they have ranked the highest.

Also, soon free agency will come into play to assist in rebuilding this roster.

For what it’s worth, Hendrickson has 32” arms. If Bain’s arms really are 30” that is pretty significant. Also probably won’t meet the minimum our scouting dept usually has.

Bain in the 1st and Jadarian Price in the 2nd. WR in the 3rd. After that BPA.

Bain is trash. Poor motor. No shows entire games. Below average measurables to boot.

Just another cherry on top of our shite gm.

We sign a free agent but can’t play him or we lose a 4th round comp pick. Why the frick even sign him then.

This very scenario happened with Andy Dalton and it cost us a 3rd round comp pick. So no you can’t count on us getting that 4th.
