Nuss hurt himself in fall practice. Kelly lied about it and covered it up which he’s very good at. I’m nit saying Nuss is perfect but the kid played hurt the first month and a half. Kelly should have gotten Van Buren ready then. He knew Nuss wasn’t 100%. Hell, Lane Kiffin took Trinidad Cambliss, a DII QB and turned him into a decent QB. Van Buren could have helped.

And, the OL has been Terrible. Kelly saw this in fall practice but the arrogant jackass lied about it too.

I’m past ready for his lying northern arse to go. Get into politics. They lie all the time.

I’m right there with you man. BK is a piece of shite human being and I can’t even stand looking at his face anymore I loathe him so much. I’ve never despised an LSU coach in any sport since I’ve been old enough to watch LSU sports more than I do Kelly.

So when Nussmeier was really good last year, who gets credit for that?

Yup. Falls on Kelly. He played him hurt, when he knew how limited he was throwing the ball. Didnt rest him against la tech and sela at minimum. And has in year 4, his worst oline by a mile since being here. It falls on him. If they have same plays, run effort last 2 games against ole miss, we win that one too.

8 people have downvoted this post about 10 minutes after I posted it. I’m curious as to why? You must think Kelly isn’t lying? Or, you may say “Kelly doesn’t throw the ball; Nuss does.” True but how many times have you heard Kelly say “It’s our job as Coaches to out players in position to win?” A lot but Kelly hasn’t put his players in a position to win. A draw play on 3rd & 26? Come on

He had a little better Oline and I think running game was a little better. Maybe Kelly coached better last year.

Never trust the word of a pothead.

And Nuss shares some blame in this despite what you think.

He wasn't really good last year. He made the same bone headed mistakes against good competition.

Nuss was not good last year against Ole Miss (except for two plays), A&M and Bama...

even the South Carolina game last year featured a bad INT that was luckily overturned...

just wholly inconsistent...

Nuss was slinging it last year. This year he's not. Kelly was coach both years. I'm not defending Kelly, but Nuss has been surprisingly awful this year.

What is a coach supposed to say hey guys our O-line fricking sucks. Also all of the guys behind them suck. I don't know why so many people expect a coach to say his players suck.

He was HEALTHY!
You made his point. When he is healthy and has protection he has been consistent.
Since he became the starter, when he had protection, he was very good.

He was on pace to be the all time record passing QB.

Wrong it’s both you can’t have a QB nowadays that is so immobile that he can’t pick up yards with his legs when the defense rushes 3.
