Like I said, Moore is not about to frick up his QB he just drafted. Like we are a QB away from being 6-1. All those that want Shough to start yesterday have no fricking clue but say they knew this team was bad. Lol. Yea let's break the confidence of a rookie QB by throwing him out there with nobody to throw to and 3 turnstiles in front of him. That's a winning formula.

Shough's first game will be ATL in the dome NOV 23rd.

Book it.

That's what I'm thinking. He'll get to play 4 or 5 bottom teams and build his confidence.

Worked for Chicago all those years! Jets also!

I mean the staff has 3 former qbs....I think they might know when would be the right time to put in a qb.

Not if we win 4 if the 7 games Shough starts.

Everything you say here applies to Rattler also.

He didn't draft Rattler. Rattler isn't 'his guy'.

His guy is the qb he chooses to start.

What was the knock on Shough and the positive on Rattler? Now you see why we started Rattler? Shough will get the cupcake part of the schedule.

The notion that he is protecting a 26 year rookie is funny. Like they’re will be a perfect scenario to insert him into given this roster. If that was the case he could’ve put Shough in when the OL was healthy the last two weeks

I think we are seeing that the organization thinks more of Rattler than it sees in Shough (as of now).

They are investing in Rattler more than anyone would have predicted. If you ignore Shough, they have to give Rattler more rope...be more aggressive in playcalling...and see how Rattler does with that freedom over time. But, time is necessary. It's not going to happen immediately. You have to be willing to let him advance through the mistakes.

Heading into the season, I would have thought the opposite. I would have thought they would have wanted to invest in Shough and give him the time and experience to develop. But, that's pretty clearly not the case.

Having said that, if Rattler starts consistently making the plays downfield that he's not making right now...it will have been the correct decision.

I really never thought Rattler would have developed into this position. He has an outside chance of developing into a legit starter in this league.

I mean I wouldn't want Ruiz to be blocking for a qb who i feel is the future of the team. At the end of the day the saints aren't just a qb away from playoff contention.

Probably closer to they know the QB is going to die playing against the Rams D and they are fine with it being Rattler.
