Sloan straight fricking sucks as a play caller.

It’s

1st Down - WR Screen 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage to the left

2nd Down - Run straight into the Centers arse on 2nd and 16

3rd Down - Extremely miss thrown deep ball on 3rd and 18

4th Down - Punt

An idiot with plays on a dart board would be more creative than that just by throwing 3 darts.

How did that moron get and keep his job. He’s more predictable than any OC Miles ever had.

Is anyone developing anything on the Offensive side of the ball. Or are Kelly and Sloan just playing golf all week and ignoring the fans complaints?

Yet, when some people tried to suggest it was a bad promotion and Kelly/LSU would be better off choosing a more proven option — this very Board evicerated those people simply because a 17yo QB from Michigan was “committed” at the time

You really have to laugh at the logic of tRantards

After two seasons as the Bulldogs offensive coordinator, Sloan was hired by LSU to coach the team's quarterbacks.
this is actually on his wiki page

He is also responsible for LSU rushing for 60 yards against Ole Miss who boasted being the 15th worst run defense in FBS prior to the game.
what a claim

WR Screen 5 yards behind the line

This play needs to be banned. It’s stupid. Never works.

You mean a run between tackles on 3rd and 18.

Yeah he was elevated to keep him around to keep Underwood. While having him would've been nice these days you can't make a decision that hurts the entire program based off getting one kid.

Kids are way too wishy washy these days and are going to follow the money. Should've given the job to a competent coordinator and if it lost Underwood so be it we would find someone else in the portal for next season which is what we're going to have to do now anyway.

It’s been terrible this year, the last one we completely forgot to block someone. I don’t get why we put our players in positions that they have to make a play behind the line of scrimmage to get a positive play. The entire run game is like this (considering the screen game as an extension of that).

I don’t think Sloan is the WORST coordinator, I think he’s just meh. Joe Sloan as a coordinator is basically a mid to lower level starting QB in the NFL. He's good enough to be functional, he’ll make some really good play calls here and there and he’s decent enough for it not to be a disaster most of the time but in no way, shape or form does he elevate you at all, which is not something that should ever be the case at LSU. Ryan Grubb at Alabama for example has no running game but has manufactured them into a productive offense. Joe isn’t or doesn’t seem to be the kind of guy that can “make it work.”

2 words: Bryce Underwood
The second he failed at that he should have been fired/demoted.

BK thought they would lose Bryce Underwood if they didn’t make him OC. That definitely backfired!

Anybody who coaches and thinks it’s a good idea to run your QB from the 3 yard line with a bad ankle in the game against SC ain’t it… he should have been FIRED after that game for calling a stupid arse play…

THERE is no sane reason Sloan should have been OC ,after Underwood bolted Sloan should have been fired.

Another example of BK not evolving with the times. Underwood was going to the highest bidder but BK still thought it’s old school recruiting based on relationships. Now we have had to endure year 2 of the Sloan experiment. With a disorganized, sloppy offense that is terrible in the red zone.

I go watch HS Football in the Houston area and there are multiple teams here that have better OCs than Sloan. Spread teams that can score from the 1. Imagine that.
