Is LSU still relevant?

Is NIL based on alumni base quality with $ to spend or NIL market in terms of proximity to major markets that provide players with advertising and marketing deals?

Haven't been relevant since 2019

Yes LSU is still relevant. LSU is a top 5 program and job, especially with the right guy at the helm.
Texas Tech is loaded up on NIL. They are 5 hours away from a big market. Indiana is loaded right now in NIL too.

LSU has made the playoffs once since 2014. That’s all you need to know

No. Haven't been in 10 years except for one magnificent season.

“LSU has had 1 season in the last 12 better than 9 regular-season wins, and that was 2019.”
2012 was the last 10 win regular season before 2019. A lot of mediocre and wasted talent in between.

The brand is really good imo, but BKs spoiling it. We recently had the GOAT season that will be remembered for decades. We just had the #1 portal class. LSUs Death Valley is still called the greatest atmosphere and the reason that the rest of the conference plays 50% of their games at night or less while we play close to 85% of our games at night in prime time on ABC/ESPN.
Some of that has to do with tradition but it’s still great exposure getting the national spotlight so often just sucks we’re spoiling it for ourselves. We need to right the ship quickly because people are quick to jump to the next thing and don’t want to lose prestige and not be able to rebound

No. We’ve made the playoff once, and haven’t even threatened to do so on any other occasion.
LSU is solidly mediocre.

We are Auburn/Florida/Tennessee level in SEC. You think any different than that you're delusional. We've had a few great seasons but mostly mediocre seasons just like those schools mentioned

Yes 2011 killed the program until 2019 and then 2020/Coach O and Covid pretty much shite canned the rest!
Bama will crush LSU again this year Simpson will have his Heisman moment couresty of a shitty BK Led Team!
That way ESPN can play it as free advertising for Bama for a few years.
PATHETIC

So, as I said, mediocre. We’re the only one of those teams who have done anything at all in a decade plus. And it was a fluke.

quote:well those are all fellow big 6 teams so not like it’s a slight to say that. Of course Alabama Georgia are on an elite tier but I don’t know anyone delusional enough to say we’re on that level. Auburn and Florida have had a combined 1 winning season in the last 3 or 4 years? We are not in a bad state, we just need to get back to being able to finish top 6 in SEC on a consistent basis which is a shot at playing in the playoff and winning 10 games. It’s not that unfathomable. Someone can come in here and average 9-10 wins a season.

They played calling Baton Rouge on the PA after the game yesterday. Ole Miss did the same
LSU, Georgia, Bama, Texas and Florida always get the bullseye
