Undisciplined play = a direct result of poor coaching

Just a couple of examples:
1. The LSU TD that was wiped off the board that would have cut the lead to 31-28 in the 4th quarter. How do you get flagged for a false start coming out of a timeout? This was right after Durham's 51 yard run that gave LSU 1st and goal from the 2. Not being able to punch it in from the 2 was a clusterf**k of epic proportions; however, not surprising given LSU's offensive woes - particularly on possessions inside the 5 yard line!
2. Later in the 4th quarter after the defense finally got a stop and forced a Vandy punt, another penalty -- a holding call on Chester if I remember correctly that negated a much-needed 1st down on 3rd and 16. Again, a penalty coming at a most inopportune time.
Yes, the players have to execute. The fact that they don't on such a consistent basis IS a reflection on piss poor coaching. Up until yesterday, I wanted to give Kelly a chance. Not anymore. I don't care if Vandy is an improved squad. This was a winnable game that LSU let slip away.
Frustrating doesn't even to begin to describe LSU football this year.
Something has to give, and soon.

Can’t let the players off the hook. Hard to face it but they are just not that good. Dropped passes, backs that can’t read holes the few times there is one, slow acceleration and they just look fat and slow.

Funny, we get our fair share of 4 and 5 stars, but they aren’t “good”. I’ll say they aren’t being coached as they should. A good portion of this staff should not hold the lofty positions they do.

This year will be remembered by me for 2 things. Very boring offensive football and frustrating watching us shoot ourselves in the foot.

What’s really crazy is that LSU has been doing shite like that for years, even before BK became coach

Barion Brown was the reason we had to waste a timeout at the goal line because he was trying to fight some dude like a fricking idiot.

I know other big schools are dealing with this too, but there is so much money being thrown at these kids. My college aged daughter was telling me how players are on TikTok and videos of them partying etc. but it feels more so now than ever, they have their money and are cool with that being their ceiling.
As someone earlier mentioned we have a few dogs but not enough. Lots of “got mine” and just showing up.
Listen to Clark Lea engage his team. He’s not selling the league, or the next level or even what it takes to be successful. He’s telling them you have to be willing to defend every blade of grass on that field to achieve our goal. And they’re bought in. Whenever we do hire someone else I’d love someone like him. Young and motivating and commands the room and the attention of his players. Not just screams at them.

After watching some of the podcast replays Harold Perkins probably had his worst game as a Tiger. He missed at least a dozen assignments. Not Good
