Deportation- Obama vs Trump

Under Obama's 8-year leadership, he gained the title of "Deporter in Chief" for logging more than 3M ICE deportations.
Trump, during his first term, was credited with being just shy of 1M ICE deportations
Question ---If Obama was able to achieve such a feat without the militarization of the ICE department, why can't Trump adopt that strategy?

Obama was counting turn aways at the border as deportations. Not sure how many he actually tracked down and kicked out of the country.

Yup. Apples and oranges. PLUS the immigration judge caseload wasn't nearly as backed up as it is now thanks the several million illegals let in by the Autopen Adimistration.

Yeah, I read that as well, but even still, that seems like a more effective and practical long term approach than what we have going on now.

You mean just let the ones that already broke in stay, and try to keep the border shutdown until the next DEM gets elected and lets in another 20 million?
The best apporoach is cut off every stinking dime of Federal funding to sanctuary cities. Arrest every official in sanctuary cities that refuse to turn over illegals to ICE. Somehow get rid of every dang DA Soros helped to get elected who refuse to prosecute criminals. It's a dang mess created by the DEMs, and now they got their feelings hurt that Trump is trying to fix it with ICE.

Well, Trump has essentially stopped illegal border crossings. No one to turn back.
Now, you suggest how to deport the millions Biden let in without ICE going and getting them.

Tom Homan worked for Obama under the title Immigration and Customs Enforcement's executive associate director of enforcement and removal operations.
He deported people quietly and some at the border for Obama. Trump is much louder and likes to brag about the successes his administration is accomplishing.
Homan was able to get a lot accomplished under the radar while Obama was in office. Just think how much he could be getting accomplished if Trump left him alone and let him work his magic under the radar. It’s not Trump’s style to get things done without people knowing about it. He is vain and wants everyone to see what his administration is getting done.
