Life was so much better before comic books to the generation before. We went from comic books being the cause of juvenile delinquency to wishing kids would take the time to read anything.
There is always the next, life was so much better before thing. I’m sure it’s going to be A.I. or robots and then something else. We grew up in simpler times just like our parents grew up in simpler times than us. Our children will grow up in a simpler time than their children. Or, maybe robots will take over.

I'm not sure anyone actually said this at the time. People were not addicted to those things in huge numbers within 10 years of their release.

TV was absolutely blamed for juvenile delinquency for violence/aggression. This was the first time people were regularly exposed to those things.
