I buy a tub for lasagna and am left with half a tub. What do I do with it? I remember teachers always having lettuce, cottage cheese and tuna when I was a kid. Needless to say, I don’t want that.

We'll spread it on some toast and top with various toppings for a snack. Chili crunch & honey. Bruschetta. Avocados. Sliced bananas. Eggs. You name it.

Once a week we have a lunch of fruit salad with cottage cheese.

Eat it on its own; mix some protein powder in it; put it in scrambled eggs while they’re cooking.

I love it with fresh pineapple chunks.

I actually like eating cottage cheese, but find it outright disgusting in lasagna.

Interesting. I don’t really taste it in lasagna. It just adds a richness to it. I might try it with honey as someone suggested.

I eat it with some honey and cocoa powder my wife has for baking.

Throw it in the garbage and never buy it again…

Glad to see I'm not the only one who has no liking for that nasty crap.

Why do you think that it’s nasty?

Couple it with pear and cheddar cheese. Eaten this all my life.

Because it looks like someone already ate it once and couldn't hold it down.

I've never heard of putting it in lasagna? You sure it isn't ricotta cheese?

Add it to a blender with 1/2 the amount of cream cheese & water (2:1:1 ratio cottage to cream cheese to water (or other cooking liquid)) the whites of green onions, & garlic cloves. Fold in grated Parmigiano, wilted spinach, thin sliced green onions & artichoke heart quarts. Add it to an oven safe dish with a filet of salmon and roast at 350°F uncovered in the oven until it's cooked to your desired doneness.

My wife convinced me to try it with salt & pepper on it- I was skeptical, but I tried it and it was delicious. I used to only eat cottage cheese with fruit, but this was a nice change.

Imparts a creamer note than ricotta. My wife prefers cottage cheese, I'm on the fence.

Some people use cottage cheese instead of ricotta in lasagna.

I don’t, but truthfully once it’s baked I don’t think you could tell the difference taste wise.

Salt, pepper, and garlic powder for me. It’s a good high protein snack.

Try it with French/catalina dressing and salt and pepper.
