I've dealt with it off and on for probably about 20 years, but usually goes away with rest or change of shoes. But, this go round has stuck with me for over a year now and it's not easing up.

I've gone to family Dr and gotten anti-inflammatory meds which might have slight eased the pain but didn't completely get rid of it and it came back just as bad when I ran out of the meds.

Anyone have any luck with completing getting rid of this pain?

Yep. Go barefooted as much as possible. Calf raises, straight legged and bent legged. Get a good barefoot shoe like Xero or Vivo and wear them all the time. Jump rope in said barefoot shoe.

Your feet are weak. You need to strengthen them. The other alternative is arch support. It will fix the pain, but further weaken your feet which will lead to problems later.

Have you tried shockwave therapy? I know a couple people who got good results using it

Last year I had it in my left foot. This year it’s my right foot.

Walking long distances in rubber boots (hunting) and wearing old tennis shoes is where I screwed up.

Funny enough i was diagnosed with it in May.

In July we went hiking in Oregon, we hiked 40 miles over 6 days and it went away.

If it acts up now I walk 20mins on an inclined treadmill and that seems to work too.

Oh and ice helps too.

Interesting take on this. Not saying you're wrong just opposite of everything you find online or told by people that deal with it.

You can’t have plantar fasciitis and jump rope routinely with barefoot shoes. Foot strength and specifically big toe strength are directly correlated with falls later in life. We have a national problem with foot strength and stability and modern footwear is the culprit. We are weakening our feet.

40-60% of people over the age of 60 that fall and break a hip or femur are dead within a year.

Several years ago I noticed my feet hurt every morning. It felt like they tightened up and when I would stand all of the tendons in the soles of my feet were painful just to stand up and walk.

I started walking and jogging and it went away. Don’t know why but it hasn’t bothered me since.

I’d been suffering since April. Pain was almost unbearable. I have no idea if it is time that finally healed it or if the kettlebell workouts I started a few weeks ago did it, but I’m basically pain free now. I think the kettlebell swings have helped my posterior chain and everything feels better.

Had it in right foot once, lasted several years and I tried any and every kind of shoe I could find to try to help it. Finally happened up on Hoka Bondi 6, started wearing them and got a pair of Hoka slides to wear on floors in the house, within 6 months the pain was gone. But I literally can’t wear any other shoes more than a couple hours without my foot hurting. So I wear Hoka shoes everywhere that doesn’t require formal dress shoes.

Going barefoot can be good for some and make it worse for others. For some more support is needed. The solution is manage load especially if a runner. Loaded eccentrics via calf raise variations, Self stretching and time

Have you looked into radiation therapy? We have seen some good success and it is a very easy procedure

No but I tore my plantar fascia ligament about 4 weeks ago, still dealing with that pain and will prolly deal with tendinitis in it for the rest of my life

My advice though for you would be doing barefooted weighted marches. Just don’t do them heavy heavy then go out and run routes with 10 year olds like I did

this. my podiatrist told me the opposite. don't go without your feet supported. no barefoot in the house on the hard floors.

Nothing pisses me off more than that stupid ‘doctor’ in the Good Feet commercial telling me I need arch supports while’s she’s wearing high heels. Your feet hurt because they are weak. Arches don’t need support they ARE the support. It took me 6 months to get rid of mine, but I did and it’s never come back and never will.
