Does Best Buy still let people take boxes from outside? Or Office Depot?

We need boxes for a charity event. I’m buying some but am wondering if I could get a few this way as well.

Years ago they used to let you take boxes before they smashed them. Anyone know if this is still something they do?

Sounds great until you get 80 boxes and none of them are the same size.

Grocery stores. Check inside and outside. I get them all the time. They don’t care.

Just ask. If they will have them, they'll probably give them.

If you need smaller sturdy boxes, liquor store is a good place.

In NC ABC liquor stores, or any liquor store. They make packing kitchen dishes glasses better than a bought box.

Also grocery stores or dollar generals.

Doesn't Costco keeps bins and bins of them near the exit for people to take?

Give me a couple of weeks and you can have all you can handle of the wife's Amazon order boxes that'll accumulate here.

My grandpa used to get me to help him pick up some “pasteboard boxes”. His favorites wouldn’t fit in the car so I’d hold on to them out the passenger side window for a couple miles.

Maybe the post office? From my understanding they give the boxes away, expecting to make the money back when you ship the package(s).

If you have a Total Wine you can get boxes.

Check out liquor stores too.
