Looks like the boys are into 6 7 on this one.

I also saw an article saying that the episode that aired a couple weeks ago was the last of season 27, and season 28 starts now? Very confusing. If you google "South Park Season 28", it shows tonight's episode as Episode 1. My only hope is that it's a clean break from last season's story line, but they didn't quite finish that so probably not.

Where Did the Term 6-7 Originate?
The numbers paired with their sing-songy tone dates back to December 2024, when hip hop artist Skrilla released a song called “Doot Doot.” In the song, he raps, “6-7, I just bipped right on the highway (bip, bip).”

In a TikTok video posted on Aug. 18, teacher and education content creator Mr. Lindsay — self-dubbed the “OG Student Translator” — explained how it went from catchy tune to viral sensation.

Mr. Lindsay said he defined the term back in February, but the volume of questions he was still getting — “daily” — about it in August led him to make another video.

Social media users started pairing the audio as background for their videos. Then, one creator used it to say NBA player LaMelo Ball plays basketball like he’s six-foot-two-inches tall when he’s actually six-foot-seven.

“This meme goes viral,” Mr. Lindsay said. “Everybody is making edits, everybody is saying ‘six seven,’ all of these content creators are starting to put ‘six seven’ into all of their things.”

He explained that the meme eventually transcended social media, and basketball players across leagues started saying it during press conferences and during on-court interviews.

Taylen “TK” Kinney is a point guard in the Overtime Elite league who was known for overusing the lyric-turned-slang in interviews. More recently, fans thought he marked the end of the trend when he answered a question with “five” instead of the expected two-number combination.

How Are People Using “6-7” Slang Now?

As Mr. Lindsay explained, the term was picked up by non-hoopers.

Questions like “How tall are you,” “What time is it,” “What’s that?” all get the response of “six seven,” Mr. Lindsay said.

“There’s literally no circumstance where a kid might not say, ‘six seven.’”

Content creators started using it for pretty much anything. Other athletes paired the tune with videos showing off their jersey numbers, and some people have even turned it into a funny soundtrack for getting older.

“So, all of this to say, ‘six seven’ is just a reference to a meme,” Mr. Lindsay concluded. “There’s no real meaning to it. It is a number that is fun to say … with the hand motions, and it just doesn’t mean anything.”

I've lost a lot of respect for Matt and Trey over the last year or so. I don't have a problem with them lampooning Trump. The problem is we had a comatose moron for a President for 4 years and not once did they air a single episode making fun of him. Strangely spineless.

I only heard about it a couple weeks ago from my 11 year old. We were at a sporting event and she told me about it. Sure enough, every damn time they showed any middle school to high school kid on the big screen, they were doing "6 7" meme with their hands.

It's lyrics in a rap song by Skrilla. Don't know why it's so popular or how the hand motion thing started.

Best I can describe is it would be similar to in the 2000's after 'Get Low' came out, if people heard "369" they'd burst out singing the song or in the 80's with 867-5309. Then it morphed from there and became its own actual phrase.

Is it dumb? Yes.

Yeah they ripped Clinton, then went all in on Bush with the TV show they had. But after Obama they toned down politics. Then went all in with the new episodes. . But it's obvious why.

They made fun of wokeness with PC principal and marginlized groups and the PC frat. Biden's just not nearly as much of a characiture or however it's spelled as Trump.

Bull. fricking. shite.

I thought last night's episode was the best of the season. The Trump/tiny dick/Satan thing is still annoying as frick (because it's just lazy and not funny anymore), but there was enough other funny stuff that made the episode better for me. I'm not too up on Peter Thiel or his deal, so that stuff kinda missed me. But it was still decent. The 6-7 thing is obviously stupid, but I liked the Cartman angle and them tying it into an Exorcist thing. And for whatever reason, the Jesus/PCP thing was cracking me up. I'm not quite sure what their angle on Christianity is, but the chicks with the huge fake tits and the lips were fairly spot on.

And the JD Vance thing does make me giggle every time for some reason.

So all in all a decent episode, but with the quality of the season so far it was by far the best I think.

It's pretty meaningless. From what I understand, it's just something the kids say and they don't even mean anything by it. It's from a song and a meme, I think. Almost all the "new" expressions come from youtube, tiktok, or some meme.

"Nuh uh! They didn't have a contract during that time! No one would have paid them for new South Park if they made an episode!"
