Matt Flynn breaks down some plays and simple reads Nuss and OL miss

Basically, the offensive design and route concepts are fine. Just need the players to recognize and execute better. Sloan taking more heat than he deserves maybe?

Nope. LSU ran the ball with a running back twice in the 1st half against the worst rush defense in the SEC.

I think BK having a play sheet and headset all but confirms Sloan is done after the season. Just like when BK was involved in the Defense in 2023.

Sloan is definitely part of the problem. 2-point conversion against Ole Miss. Defend it.
But yes, Nuss, the WRs, the RBs and the OL have all contributed to the mess that has been the offense.

Sloan has been working with Nuss for 3 going on 4 seasons now as QB coach and OC...

MF basically said the OL made the wrong call on the Mike which screwed up the protection. QB should be making Mike calls. Then they congratulated Sloan on finally putting in a counter play during the bye. The other play was Nuss missing a read in empty. Nuss has documented issues but our offense has not been well coached either. Both can be true.

No, I liked Flynn but if you compare the two statistically Flynn is inferior even during the 07 run so The Rant would be trashing him mercilessly.

It’s a HS offense and the example you just gave is a major problem in modern offenses. QB should have control over all of those things. If we had legit coaching he would and those types of miscommunications wouldn’t be happening.

You’ve never seen Flynn play. He’s played much better than Nuss.

I saw his entire career. I’ve seen all their careers starting with Wickersham. At this point in 2007 Flynn had 5TDs and 4ints, you guys would be burning his house down.

Someone pointed out that Parker was running a route on the play and was breaking open. If that was an RPO out of a set that we always run out of, then it’s possible Nuss blew the read and gave the ball when he shouldn’t have.
There’s no way to know for sure, but if that was the call and it produced an open route, then the issue was Nuss.
