Stanford

Arkansas
Okie Lite
UCLA
Oregon State
UAB
Kent State

best to worst jobs in the current climate. I had a hardtime with VaTech/Arky/Okie though, so I will accept any arguments on that and being wrong.

Stanford cant take the vast majority of portal players. They are starting to collect a war chest, but they are limited in how they can use it.

There's been a lot of rumblings that they are...working on that amid their monstrous infusion of cash. I guess we will see. But you're right, that would push them further down the list despite their $$$$$$$

Open the damn board

That being said, the CCB opening when LSU isn’t making a HC or coordinator hire is like the first NFL preseason game. Exhilarating for about 15 seconds then pretty lame.

I think it just depends what your goal is. Conference titles and stability? Okie State can do that with the right coach.

If you want to win a natty, I think you need to be in the SEC or BIG. We haven't seen the TV money financial gulf between the conferences fully open yet. As the years go by, Arky and UCLA are going to be able to acquire players that Big 12 and ACC schools can't.

Will they ever beat the elites? Probably not, but look at what Cignetti is doing. It's at least possible if you have the money. The only way a Big 12 school can do it is if they have a Cody Campbell type character willing to fund it all.

True , except sometimes theres a domino effect throughout the conference that is pretty entertaining.

Wouldn’t be surprised if UCLA keeps Steve Nuewhatever around for at least a full season next year.

Gotcha, should probably just make him the HC then. Young, can relate to the kids, has the name recognition with the job and their offense has got it together with him doing the scheme and calling plays.

Do you mean Tim Skipper their interim coach right now? Or the interim OC Jerry Neuheisel gets the HC job?

UCLA could be a beast in the NIL era if they wanted to be. But that's the question, do they even care that much?

Was coming to say this. Until they prove that they are willing to accept more portal guys they can’t be that high.

With the university having to fix that $25m deficit on the academic side, there won’t be any coaching changes coming.

Desormeaux’s buyout is roughly $3M, it ain’t happening.

For the sake of argument, let us assume that is true.

As a Gator fan, do you root for a win or loss this weekend?
