If the turnovers stop this team can beat anyone left on the schedule. I saw real real improvement out of the offense. Yes we still had bafflingly predictable playcalling at times. However, the run game had its best performance of the season. Still erratic running in the redzone but I saw legit real push esp from the guards Echols was moving ppl. Running for 166 yards on a good SC front is promising. I also like what I saw form the pass game. The turnovers from nuss are maddening but he was slinging it around with confidence. Trey’Dez green is a matchup nightmare whose now fully healthy he needs to be the go to guy in the pass game no one can cover his combo of size and athleticism. Kyler parker adds strong route running and yac juice. Parker and green are a much needed spark to the pass game. A Healthy Anderson , Parker, green and brown need to be your top 4. The Chris Hilton experience needs to end

Weston Davis was awful. Dylan Stewart will make a lot of tackles look bad but man even when he got chip help he was still getting worked. Kid has the tools but he’s simply not a good football player rn just gotta hope he develops. I know a lot of ppl are screaming for curne but that kid is a natural guard

Defense missed a lot of tackles but did a great job containing sellers. 21 yards on 19 carries you’ll absolutely take . Any time he scrambled we had multiple eyes watching him to corral him. Run fits have to get better tho we gave up at times more explosive runs than we should’ve that isn’t the standard for this defense. Trust Kyle Williams to get that right upfront.

Secondary continues to be special. Blanketed those SC wideouts all night in man coverage. After a performance where the ole miss guys got the best of them they bounced back loudly. Blake baker made adjustments in coverage alignment by lining pj woodland in the slot and having Pickett and Delane on the outside on obvious passing downs. I think we will play those 3 a lot at the same time moving forward esp with wr rooms like A&M and bama coming up want as much cover guys out there as possible.

Outside of some tough penalties and an awful whiff on the long td run, Cooley was tremendous in coverage, haulcy was solid as well.

Pass rush dominated SC upfront. They couldn’t block Peyton or gooden inside. Pyburn was a grown man as well even tho he missed more tackles than you want to but sellers is a hard fricking qb to bring down

Very astute post. I am not on the Nuss bus never have been. However we can still win if he just would not panic and throw int's and run the fricking ball when lanes are open for him. Our D will give us a chance in every game if Nuss improves and our OL matures.

We left a very easy 18 points on the board. If it continues, it will bite us hard. If it stops, we're making a run at a natty.

That’s giving him a much bigger pass than he really deserves. I haven’t seen people talk about it much on here since Saturday night, but Cooley basically kept them in the game for about two or 2 1/2 quarters. He made a bunch of mental errors that helped South Carolina in key, critical situations. He bounced back and played much better in the fourth quarter.

We need a better plan on short yardage and goal line. I was heartened when we went wildcat early in the game with Johnson. We gained 5 or 6 yards but never went back to it. You would think with our short yardage struggles it would become a bigger part of our offense.

Agree with most of what you pointed out, but the only tools 75 has is 6’6” 300+. Most guys who struggle in SEC games you say, he belongs in the Sunbelt or SWAC, but he would struggle there. He just isn’t a football player. Doesn’t get off on the snap count. Poor feet. Poor hands. Stands straight up to block. I’m stunned that in one game on the road, 57 outplayed him and they keep trotting 75 out there. 6 games in and no improvement.

Red zone play was horrible. We left an easy 14 points off the board, not including another 3 or 7 we had in the last 2 minutes.

Fumbles happen but on the goal line is a terrible look. INTs happen. Bad throw.

WR room is vastly overrated overall. They are a work in progress. Green coming on strong now. Parker. These guys are promising. We already have speed...we need people who can get position and catch the ball, desperately need this.

Run game is...good enough. It's not a "bad" run game.

Nuss looking sharp. Downfield skill players need to meet him half way, so to speak. Perfect example: That first TD drop by Green...Green needs to be looking back earlier anticipating the throw between defenders. Lawd, this is basic playground stuff.

A few defenders were over-pursuing on Saturday. Seems to be an annual issue for LSU that creeps up. Led to a 72 yard TD run. Just sloppy in the moment.

It's not likely we run the table, but once again this year I see BK and staff somehow eeking out success week by week.

The fan base demanded an opener road win: the team delivered
The fan base demanded offense improve over the break: it did

BK comes off as an angry neighbor that would poison your dog over a tree trimming argument, but again this year positive things seem to be happening behind the scenes and high standards are at least targeted.

Successful season so far. If the last six weeks was "act 1" you have to give this group an A- grade.

When Nussmier was running to his right threw across his body into traffic and nailed the receiver, I was thinking holy crap, he hasn't been able to make that throw all year. He's not hurt anymore.

Great post, don't get the 5 downvotes

I love that we have the 4 biggest rushing qb's all in a row, if you include last week against Chamblis. Gives us a chance to get better at it each week. Sellers by far the toughest one to tackle too. But pavia this week and then reed.

This is what I hope for. Also sit sharp and put Donovan Green is to help as a blocking TE. He's not a bad receiver either.

Agree. I like Moscona's idea to kick Thompson to RT since he's player there an entire season at NW and did well and put Curne at RG.

Make these changes and I think you see a significant improvement in the offense

Agree with the overall assessment. Running game showed improvement against a good front 7. Other than the 72 yd TD run SC didn't do much on the ground and had Sellers running for his life almost every play. Nuss looked better throwing and running but still needs to stop turning the ball over. Left 21 points in the red zone with 3 TO. Fix that and we should take care of business the rest of the way. Give me that offense without the TO and we easily beat Vandy.

No doubt. This has to be cleaned up with the quickness.

It would probably help the run game and offense in general if we had different formations instead of just base spread 90% of the game.. we have zero savvy formations .. pre snap motions and a counter run game would be super nice . And I’m not talking about a counter from shotgun base spread formation. Pistol with a full house look counter and pull guard or play action leak green out on a wheel or something. Instead we just zone split the entire game when we do decide to run . Would even like to see us hand the ball off to pyburn in goal line short yardage stuff . Hell bama runs proctor big arse in different crazy formations recently and had pretty good success each time . Bottom line is we need to get more unique in our play calling and formations. It’s really bland . We will get out coached really bad if this continues

Yeah he's a natural guard, but a 6'5 320 lb kid that can do standing backflips is worth taking a flyer on at tackle.

To add to this it also negative when you get into 2& 10 and we go empty lol. Vs using more pistol or under center where we can kinda not make it completely obvious we gonna pass it .
