I thought the OL played really well, even Ruiz had a solid game,
Rattler really navigates the pocket well, if he can get a little better footwork to improve his accuracy I think he’s a legit franchise QB.
The difference in the game was so obviously our skill players not making plays (Olave Juwuan)
Breese is becoming elite. His hands are so violent he can win so quick.. and his run defense has improved so much.
Young was really solid, applied a lot of pressure. Granderson was solid.. Maye really escaped a lot of pressures
We need a young stud LB
We obviously had some busts in the secondary but I’m still pretty high on that young core and hope to see Riley get more reps
If you add an elite WR, an impact DT, another good DE, and another young DB… this is a good team

I think this team takes a big leap next year. A bunch of close games so far, minus the Seattle blowout. With another solid draft we will be sitting in a good place. I hope the Saints get Mansoor Delane in the draft to improve that secondary.

Yah we have some solid young corners but none are lockdown corners.., though I’m not sure there really is such a thing as lockdown corners anymore.

They are exceedingly rare, but Surtain is a lockdown corner.

Stopped reading when you said Rattler is a franchise QB

Would be great to have, but it would be more of a wasted luxury pick if the defense cannot put pressure on the QB. Front 7 needs to be an emphasis in the offseason, and anything not addressed needs to be drafted with their projected top 5 pick.

OL pass blocking has gotten better the last few weeks but run blocking has been atrocious.

You people are nuts. There isnt a single other franchise that thinks this about Spencer Rattler

I'm just gonna lay off fricking around with people on Rattler. They really really really want it to be true.
He will either keep getting better or he won't. We will see.
Just gonna talk about other things with this team.

New England has been tough against the run all season, so I wasn't particularly surprised that the Saints didn't have much success running the ball.
I like that Moore sticks with it though, even if it's not necessarily having success.
As far as defense, well they keep giving up touchdowns on the first two drives of several games this year. I don't care who you are. You can't dig yourself in a hole like that and expect that you're giving yourself a good chance to win.
Yes, they aren't giving up all that many points in the second half, but it just kind of defeats the purpose if you're not getting off to a good start either. I guess that's just the way it's going to be until it isn't.
