Fox sports saying he is one of 5 that Penn St will want to talk to and with all these openings coming up, get ready for those distractions.

He may need to cut his teeth as a HC somewhere else & maybe he’ll be the top guy when it’s finally time to move on from BK.

Penn state didn’t pay a 50 million buyout and fire Franklin to hire baker.

I don’t mean that as an insult to baker, I think he will be a very good head coach. He’s just not the guy you pay that kind of buyout for.

I’d be willing to bet that in his contract and agreement to come to LSU from Missouri was a possible HCIW role. Who knows.

I would think he's the exact type of guy you target after a buyout like that. They don't have the pockets to go write another massive check to a huge name.

He's not going to be the next HC at Penn State good lord.

But there will be lots of openings and we have no chance of keeping him unless there is a HCIW agreement in place that we don't know about.

Oregon hired Dan lanning who is 39 right now after 3 years of being Georgia’s DC. Young, energetic, related to players, and a ton of NIL money has opened the door for a hire like Blake baker at a big school

With that said, I’d hate to lose him

Same! The only thing i noticed from BK since he's been here is somewhat less out the field issues from players. He's not worth 100M though.

Coach in waiting needs to happen. I think kelly retires before his 10 years. He is getting roasted last 3 years by the fanbase

The hands shaking last night showed he is losing it. Dude will have ann aneurysm

What exactly has baker done?
He’s benefitting from an older group and some key transfers bought

Meanwhile this defense still is susceptible to somewhat bad play at times where he looks like he has no clue or answer for

He’ll end up like Aranda if he goes to Penn State. They would be foolish to hire him as a first time head coach. He will be a good head coach, but Penn State is not the place for a first time head coaching job.

Sorry but I would rather take a shot at a younger guy for once.

Les miles hired at 51 years old

Ed became interim at 54 years old

Brian kelly was 60 years old when hired

We gonna hire belichek next?

I would bet so much money that there is nothing in his contract about a HCIW role.

That is incredibly disingenuous. Yes the transfers have helped but also young guys like woodland , Pickett , spears , breaux McKinley have developed under baker let’s not act like this is just a complete transfer show

You probably said the same thing about Aranda.

I think Baker is a good DC and who knows, he may become a great HC one day, but LSU isn't the place for a coach to get their first HC gig at. I understand most of these post are more about BK than Baker, though.
