Ok I have fricking had it. Take Coach Baker and the Defense out of your fricking mouths

This is a mfering Elite Defense period.
Watch this mfers and try to learn something. Giving up 10 points a game isn’t good enough for you?

Just like the offense’s numbers have been skewed and vastly increased by the cupcake games the defense’s numbers have been impacted by garbage points in those games given up by subs.
Conventional Wisdom was that if we had a top 20 defense this year we would make the playoffs. They are significantly better than that and not the reason we lost the Ole Miss game. Anyone with a pulse on defense is a problem for this team. They can’t score 30 points against air.
If the defense has a chance to win the game at the end we are almost certainly going to win. If the offense must score a TD to win in a last minute game winning drive we are super screwed.
The problems with this are so obvious an alcoholic handicap blind man could see it and they start at the top CBK. We have an offensive line coach that is no longer defensible. He takes 4/5 star lineman and teaches them how not to block. We couldn’t ran the ball with 4 NFL linemen last year. His alternative practice techniques don’t work.
We have the top returning 5th QB who makes critical terrible no good very bad decisions like a redshirt freshman and as consistent as a hurricane.
We have a OC that’s doing his best but it obviously over his head, I think. You can’t tell because see above.
Many of us OG tried to tell you about our Hall of Fame Strength Coach Tommy Moffett, but you wanted a shiny new penny. So he goes to Faggies and suddenly they are unbeatable. Like Dr. Phil says “How is that working out for you?”
This is all the fault of Coach CBK. Since you are an OG like us CBK, next loss you need to go to the post game press conference and man up and say “the buck stops with me, this is my fricking fault and I am going to do everything I can to fricking fix it. “ It’s a Southern Man thing, learn it. “
The one thing any LSU fan can be proud of this year is the Defense. They are not the GD Problem.They will even keep us in the Bama game, for a while anyway.

Moffitt is on record saying he loves the OL because he instills nasty into them. He would have thrived with this defense too.

Explain to me how they cant tackle allowing SCar to run for almost 200 yards (Sellers having only 19 of those), and why last week the Ole Miss WRs were running wide open most of the night? (resulting in 314 yds)

We’ll learn a lot more about our D the next 2 weeks. Pavia is a handful and the whole defense should be seeing red when we play aggy after what they let Reed do in the second half last season.

BS. We couldn't get the ball back from OM. Allowed multiple long drives. Allowed multiple 3rd and long conversions. Couldn't stop the little flat route all game. #8 ate us alive on that play. Vandy will absolutely run that play to death.

Didn’t say they were perfect but said elite as in top 10-15. Oklahoma had the best defense until Saturday. The best thing is that they get better as game goes along.
Ole Miss is an elite offense bro. They scored a season low 24 and 7 in second half. The defense was on the field for almost 100 plays, and Kiffen hit the best of Coach Baker. But if you think that’s why we lost that game, you are on crack.

TAMU is the best team week-to-week in SEC right now showing improvement and Vandy is pretty solid. You'll know how elite this defense is the next few weeks. You then play Bama+Arkansas and Arkansas right now has a really good offense as well. Will be a nice 4 game test for this defense to know if they're truly elite.

Ole Miss might be posers. They almost lost to WState and they looked terrible against them. The only offense LSU has been tested by this year is Ole Miss and they failed the test.

I mean, I see this constantly said on here but you realize how many third-down conversions Ole Miss had right? Offense can't play defense there and they did get out schemed by Kiffin badly. Not really sure why people on here keep making excuses. Yeah, they played good enough to win and offense was the main culprit losing, but neither side of the ball played well I'd say. Elite is the 2011 defense which jury is still out on this one. You'll know for sure the next few weeks so it's pointless to really debate right now.
This defense is definitely good enough to win you championships what I see on the field. They're not 2011 "elite" though that stonewalled everyone. What's going to hurt us is we're piling injuries up on the DL which isn't good and we got gashed several times last night in the run.
