That works when you are winning like Saban, but when you are scratching by in each game, and you give a douche answer to every simple question, you just look like an a-hole

He's tough to watch on the sideline. Miserable dude.

Only 1 coach in the sec has a better winning percentage at their school than BK has at LSU and it's Kirby Smart.

Who cares. Only thing that matters is wins and losses

He himself looks miserable and unhappy. I get the impression he wishes he had not left ND. But it's a conundrum for him bec he is setting up his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids to never have to work again if they are smart with their inheritance.

So if you average 10 wins per year in your first three years, we need to make sure the coach is likable?

Riveting, and novel topic that has never been discussed here before.

And no, it didn't "work" for Saban or even Bellicheck -- they were always perceived as assholes with short fuses. People just tolerated it because they did win.

You probably don't listen to his press conferences then. The dude is hilarious if you can appreciate him being a smartass

There are many reasons to critique a head coach but this is a stupid reason.

Yeah but Kirby has Rings and Big game wins!
Don’t have to like BK but what has he done to earn the right to be arrogant!
Win the Natty, make the playoffs! Have 10-11 win seasons be the norm not a unicorn year for $10M a year!

I know Nick Saban and Brian Kelly is no Nick Saban. But you are correct. Kelly 's BS doesn't bring the best out of anyone. BK is not a motivator. I want to laugh when I hear him try to motivate. How many football players respond to "complimentary football?"

Saban was the biggest bitch ever; sidelines, press conferences, wherever. But yall still sucked him off (and still do)

This. Who gives an frick? Everyone fricking hated Miles and O at the end, in spite of their more “likable” personalities. People would care less about BK’s if we were undefeated and a little more polished on offense right now.

Just win. Nothing else really matters if you aren’t breaking laws.

The man has won everywhere he went plus 2 division 2 national titles.

I’ll take him over Les and Ed any day of the week.

Many here have turned their backs on him

He does have rings, but what’s that record vs Bama now? Les Miles was more competitive and never lost to a coach not named Nick Saban. Kirby isn’t without his issues.
