My God, #44 is totally worthless as a defensive football player. Play after play after play, he is in an great position to make a tackle...from behind or from the side of the ball carrier. Apparently, he has grease on his hands because he just slides off. Oh, and then he grabs his helmet like he is shocked he failed. I'm not! I was talking to my brother on the phone about all his missed tackles. His TV feed was a few seconds ahead of mine. He then said "then don't watch the next play...he just missed another one."

Bottom line: great to be in a play to begin with but if you don't execute a tackle you are worthless as a defensive player. He needs to be sitting on the bench!

A lot of guys missed tackles on Sellers. Dude is big, strong, and athletic. A little unfair to single Pyburn out.

Bad take.

He was getting major push and still made lots of contributions. He did just miss several plays but that was after tremendous effort to get in that position.

Dude is a beast. If he had made all those plays we’d be talking about a legendary performance. He still played well and fought his arse off.

Also, let’s be honest, Sellers is incredibly difficult to bring down. Probably his greatest strength.

It was Sellers. He’s a 6’4” - 240 lbs freak athlete that has made a TON of players look way worse than Pyburn looked.

Christ our fans are the absolute worst.

I mean yes Sellers is a load but Pyburn should have had 3 sacks minimum, he has to do better, Perkins also comes to mind on several missed tackles.

Didn’t he sack sellers? At least a half sack.

He had 5 tackles and a sack in the first half

Sellers makes a lot of guys miss.

Of all the things to complain about, Pyburn isn’t one of them.

He was a disruptive force last night. Even missing some tackles.

Yes. Pushed the right tackle right into Sellers lap.

It seems that a hallmark of the BK era is a lack of fundamentals across the entire team. I'm not sure what they are doing at practice, but it does not appear to focus enough on basic techniques.

I agree with your points and I'm not going to waste my time arguing with the others. Sellars IS a big guy but Pyburn was NOT taking on Sellers from the front. He had the ADVANTAGE by trying to bring him down from the back usually. And people talk about Sellars being big...so is Pyburn. He is a DE from God's sake.

I also agree about Perkins. Remember when LSU said he was going to be an impact player "at the Star position." I almost never hear his name called. That can be good...like when Delane was invisible until near the end (had those 2 great breakups in a row) because apparently he wasn't being thrown at. But when you are supposed to be roaming the field and still don't make more plays like Perkins is supposed to do, then you have to wonder. What position is left for him to play and be a difference maker?

That’s the thing. There are enough obvious things to bitch about with it making shite up.

The defense has given up more than 10 just once this year. And even at their worst against Ole Miss, they have us a chance to win had the offense done their job.

No reason to focus negativity on things that aren’t a problem.

I did...he didn't hear me because he had his hands holding his helmet after yet another missed tackle.

There might be plenty to bitch about but Plyburn ain’t one… that dudes a stud on defense whose motor never ever stops when he’s on the field.. he’s the least of my worries on defense.. he caught my eye last year playing at Florida and was so glad to see LSU sign him…
