My nephew and his family are coming in for the game Saturday. They are staying in NO and getting s ride to the game. We park in Lot 306. Too many people to ride with us.
Getting there is ok, but what’s the best way to get an Uber/Lyft post-game?Contraflow makes it difficult.

Wait until 2 am or walk far out enough that they can get to you easily.

I had trouble with this at Clemson. Even after game traffic was gone, we still couldn't get an Uber. An old man eventually showed up at 2:30 AM out of nowhere to take us back to our hotel. My advice: Don't do it.

I’m afraid of that happening to my nephew.
I think it might be easier for him to rent a car for the day and park in the Hay Field.

Didn’t that dude not even charge the group of people that he picked up? Or am I misremembering your story from a few weeks back?

Either way, that’s lucky. I would definitely go the rental route to be safe.

I think that's a good choice. Renting a car might be more expensive, but he won't be stranded after the game.

Isn't there a bus that takes you to lauberge? Maybe try that and get an uber from there

It was me, LSUguy2023, and 4 Clemson fans. You're right, we all offered to pay him and he refused it, but I left the cash that I had, and some of the others did too. I still think of him as my Uber angel.

I highly recommend the Game Day buses. Pick up is downtown (used to be by Past Time but maybe changed) and at L'Auberge.

The Lauberge and Past Time busses are good suggestions. Thanks!

Agree

I often take Uber/Lyft TO the game (catch a ride home with a neighbor who gets on campus earlier). Every Uber driver I've talked to says they don't take requests after the game because it's too much of a pain to get on and out of campus at that time.

In other words, make other plans unless you want to leave the game well before it ends.

I think they stopped that service last season. Not sure if anyone has taken it this year?

As I was getting to my truck by the Ag Center after the LaTech game a young couple approached and asked if I would take them somewhere off campus so they could get an Uber. They had been trying since the 3rd qtr to get one and it was impossible.

I gave them a lift to Perkins Road in like 10 min but getting an Uber on campus is impossible
