He missed the bowl game in a 6-6 season to preserve his redshirt because that was the last season that bowl games counted toward the games played to determine a redshirt. If he had played, he would not be at LSU now.

There were a lot better options out there for the money. We obviously should have done more than we did. But ya gotta think a few of these five stars would have stepped up but that just hasn’t been the case.

No that was Max Johnson. I’m not the biggest Nuss fan, but not playing in that game to save a whole season of eligibility was a no-brainer.
Johnson on the other hand refused to honor his commitment to his current team before transferring.
