First Brands is going bankrupt and their brands are familiar to everyone here.

Lots of criminality going on with this company and some people will definitely need to go to jail. They were using their receivables to borrow money to fund more receivables. That isn't illegal but they would use the same receivables multiple times with different firms. Basically borrowing on the same asset multiple times what the asset is worth.

Brands:
Michelin, Fram, Trico, Philips, Reese, Draw-tite, Anco, and many, many others.
Brands

Definitely some established names there, hope better companies can acquire those. I'm sure First Brands is just one of many others.

My brother went pretty far down the interview process as a channel partner for them in a fairly large region last year... He was pretty bummed he didn't get the job. Can't wait to bump him to see what he has to say.

Thatt's strange. Doesn't sound like a traditional receivables (factoring) loan. A number of banks don't do this anymore.

The article that I had went to premium.

There are BDCs (business development company) that help to fund those now.

I watched a review one time and the WIX filters had a crazy amount more surface area (more folds) in their filters. I've been a WIX fan every since.

I was not aware that Honeywell had sold off Fram and Autolite, but they have moved out a lot of the business units recently.

Well. Depends on supply chain disruption or not? But usually more competition, not less, is better. Too many near monopolies can control supply and price.

I was thinking this could give some startups / lesser known companies a better advantage of market growth

Fram's top line filters are actually very very good. Their budget stuff is shite though.

Traditional revolver ABL on the A/R and inventory. There’s concern that the inventory $ are accurate. Syndicated loan where Bank of America is the agent
