We lliterally got shite faced last night is the best I've ever overheard.

I imagine that any high school teachers or college professors on here would have some good ones.

Anyone who uses the world “literally” inappropriately, I immediately discount what they say.

100 a-hole points if the person using the word pronounces it as “littrellee” as if that emphasizes whatever dumbass point they are trying to convey.

“Literally” needs to be removed from the English language. I constantly hear painful uses of the word.

The shame of it is that it was a vital word. We used to be able to use it to mean “as bizarre as this sounds, it actually happened”. But now idiots have rendered the word meaningless.

‘Literally’ should only be used to distinguish between something that would normally be considered metaphorically but in this case was factual / actual.

Ie
quote:

Literally got shite-faced
would involve getting hit in the face with feces, maybe they encountered an irate monkey?
