It’s only been a week since Sec. of War put forth the requirements for weight and PT standards— these boys got a lot of work to do.

Does the "one weekend a month" and 2x/yr thing not apply to these people?

No idea. But in no way is that a fighting force ready for combat.

Those guys are probably winded getting out of the truck.

The small, agile NG troops do the chasing and these Sumo sized troops do the holding so they don’t get away. The technique is to grab the perp then sit on the perp. Perp is going nowhere.

They are not going into combat and are weekend warriors. I'll give them a pass. Defending against people dressed up in Halloween costumes can't be that taxing on you.

They are Soldiers in the U.S. Army and must adhere to PT and HT/WT requirements.

This is exactly what Sec Hegseth is pushing against. Get it right, or get out.

I get it. They definitely need to work on it.

Takes time to get back in shape or get out.

There is an immediate need vs. a future requirement.

Those soldiers are actually the cooks for the team that was deployed. Their motto is, "Death from Within"

Who’s administering the pt test? The units themselves? They will find a way to pass.
