Early reports indicate two law-enforcement officers were shot.
A source tells WAFB deputies were booking a man into jail when he fired shots, wounding two Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies.
Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi confirms his son, a deputy, is one of the victims. Their conditions are unknown at this time. The man who fired the shots has reportedly died.

Curious where the gun came from? Deputies usually check their guns when entering secure area in most detention facilities. Could also have had it on him hidden.

Update from Unfiltered By Kiran ~ One deputy was shot in the abdomen & taken by private vehicle to Ochsner Iberville. He died of his injuries at the hospital. The other deputy (Sheriff Stassi’s son) was hit in the side and is being airlifted in critical condition.
