Definitely can’t have someone who wants America to be great at your nerd game.

Liberalism is a cult of weirdos.

White nerds who play stuff like magic and dungeons & dragons got hit hard by the tranny and DEI stuff. I was never into that kind of stuff but I have sympathy for these guys who had their games invaded and taken over by the woke mob.

Pretty good metaphor - “the gathering”

Gather all people…except those that don’t agree with or think like us.

As a dabbler of MtG I can absolutely see this.

I have enjoyed it since 1995. I collect the cards, especially older stuff and enjoy the online format called "Arena".

However any time I go into a card shop to look around I can tell I have nothing in common with most of the slobs that play the game.

Since we are on the topic, the coolest magic card... I present the first edition (Alpha) dual land Bayou.

ETA: Not a bad card either...

Another one, these are obviously fake, but I've been missing out on Trump meme MtG cards.

Imagine how petty a grown adult has to be
1. to actually be playing Magic the Gathering and
2. to ban someone b/c of a hat

Time to grow up dude.

It's a minor story but it is a part of a long list of cultural arenas leftist infiltrated and took over during the last few decades. We got where we are because we ceded ground like this to the left because a lot of us thought it was just some stupid nerd space. Maybe it is but it still is populated by voters.

Sort of. In fact a recent Magic set used the DnD theme.

I grew up near a military base and currently live near an air force base. The Magic game is popular with some servicemen and women because of the war strategy. It's great for math because you are constantly calculating multiple things.

In essence, the game goes like this. Imagine you and the guy you are playing are both wizards standing on opposite mountain tops looking below at a valley. First you begin to accumulate mana (land). This is then used to summon creatures in the valley to begin a war or spells to affect creatures. Spells can increase your creature's strength or decrease your opponent's creature's abilities along with a multitude of other things like searching your cards for a specific card. Each player takes turns summoning new creatures or spells based off the amount of available mana and declares attackers and blockers. Damage kills blocking creatures and damage not blocked affects the wizard until one wizard dies.

There are way more nuanced things the cards can do, but that is a basic overview of how the game is played.

Mankind has it too easy, these people would have not made it through natural selection a mere century or two ago.

Yeah, it's nerdy. I'm not denying that.

When explaining it I often tell people, so what that the characters are trolls, giants, faries, unicorns, etc.?

The same game could be made where the characters are football players with different strengths and weaknesses, and cheerleader spells or halftime speeches hype them up. The actual guys playing the game are just coaches on the opposite sides of the field trying to score touchdowns until the score is insurmountable.

My son plays occasionally. They released a Monty Python series that is pretty cool.

I’ve always wondered how this all worked. So do you deal the cards from a deck? Or break open packs for a game? Or bring your own cards from home? Is Pokémon also a game like this or is Pokémon just cards to collect like sports cards?
