I've been seeing frequent China infrastructure posts on X lately.

And they are right.
This is what happens when we invest in America and dump the foreign welfare baddies.

Would you want to drive over a Chinese bridge that boasts incredible heights AND an astonishingly short build time?
I wouldn't.
I wouldn't.

With the crap happening in our country and the way politics is evolving (Cali, Portland, Mamdani) we will never be able to aspire to do these things. It's as though we are being shepherded into this.

But you will get to buy them again in two years. Made in China

If it's built to all the proper codes and standards, I would with not worry.

I wouldn’t either.
But, that sentiment doesn’t change this one:
What happens when you don't drain your national resources on fighting endless wars, bombing everywhere you see, and financing other countries' militaries and their multiple wars:

Don't fall for the Chinese propaganda.
It's a facade.
Yes, they have some amazing infrastructure in many cities. But never forget it is a brutal totalitarian regime and the average person in China has absolutely zero privacy, zero rights, and a very dark future.
Given the opportunity, probably 600 million Chinese would get the hell out of there if they had half a chance.

It's Chinese... I don't know their codes and standards for themselves, but I'm familiar with their work that makes it here. I wouldn't drive over it.

I can't believe Americans ignore this but are enamored with the oohs and ahhs.

Believe me, I'm not falling for the Chinese propaganda in terms of wanting to adopt their political system. I falling for the nationalists side of their propaganda and demonstrating this is what happens when you don't have parasitic nations supported by the American tax payers. Those resources can be accolated into infrastructure projects at home that have far more economic benefit to our nation than spending trillions on foreign wars and welfare recipients.

Why don't they post real videos of the stuff instead of a bunch of poorly AI generated videos?

Well, Chinese codes and standards are at best suspect... looks like a lot of propaganda...

Amazing they can do that but then make toys that absolutely will not work as soon as you open them

The biggest difference is China doesn't have to worry about property rights nor FHWA bureaucracy.
We wouldn't be able to build the Interstate by today's rules/regulations.
