Question as asked.
Existing young children grandfathered in.

Here or in China? Sounds like China.

No one should be allowed to have children. Traffic is bad enough already.

We can't constitutionally stop them
In the long run, it would save us money to pay them like $10K to self-sterilize

What is your proposal for NOT allowing them to have new children?

Proof of sterilization before receiving government assistance is one scenario.
I’m not advocating for anything, just discussing.

What sort of communist society do you believe in? It def seems you are on the verge of a no-child policy for those under 30K a year and 1 child policy for those under 100K a year.
Think about how hard it is to make people drive the speed limit and then think about how hard it would be to enforce this.....

But we CAN stop incentivizing them.
On welfare and have a child? All benefits end for life.

Think if they want to continue to receive assistance there should be stipulations. I would even vote for having tubes tied.

Don’t make that leap. This is something I have seen discussed in other right wing areas.
No one is forced to take government assistance, and no one is forced to have children they can’t afford.

They should be able to have all the children that they can support. Continuing to give more and more government assistance for each child has become a racket of children being born for $$$ with no intent to parent.

EVERY woman on welfare should be on automatic birth control!!

They are going to get pregnant. Are you advocating for allowing abortions?

I don’t like the circumstances of this particular subject either, but constitutionally and simply as a matter of American principle, that suggestion is just not realistic. Nor should it be.

A government that wants to control you wants everyone on the dole and unarmed.

Sure. But at that point it’s a 2 for 1 deal. Permanently sterilized for bad decision making.

Having children isn’t the problem BUT government assistance MAY BE the problem.

So if you have 3 kids and need gov assistance you...don't get it because you have 3 kids? If you face divorce and become a single parent of 2 kids you should not get assistance?
Again, think about the reality of means testing. There is a reason we don't have more now. Are you going to have the state deny a kid assistance? That's what goes on now, the kid gets it and the parent abuses it to keep from not working.
I'm all for responsibility but I think the best way is to reward work not to punish laziness. Why not...if you're parents work, pay taxes on earned income and can prove this you get X amount of tuition reduction or educational credits for school choice or tax rebates for food etc etc.
I mean I'm all for kicking bums off welfare but let's not start down the path of sterilization or forcing people to get abortions so they don't lose benefits, which is what we'd see if the beinfits was coupled to childlessness.
