I don’t miss Orgeron, I don’t miss Miles

Sorry but this is not close for me.
You think this offense is bad? Do not even get me started on Les Miles having the most vanilla offense on planet earth while the rest of CFB was throwing the ball around the yard. It’s one thing for us to have a depleted offensive line and struggle with injuries this year and underperform, with Miles we’d consistently have a top 3 recruiting class (literally every year) and we would be bottom quartile in offensive production almost every year. Nothing pissed me off more than watching like 12 of our players get drafted every year but not able to score a touchdown against Arkansas or some shite. Multiple games where we’d struggle to even cross the 50 yard line. I think in the first half of that Wisconsin game in GB we got like 2 first downs the entire 1st half. Even with our horrific offense today that would simply be unfathomable. Have you all forgotten about the HORRIFIC clock management? And his dumbass accent and eating grass on the sideline while all the seals (fans) in the stands clapped aimlessly. You guys forget, I don’t. I wake up in a hot sweat at least once a week to that A&M game where we won like 12-7 in what had to be the ugliest win of all time and the players carried him out on their shoulders. He was supposed to be fired but our AD at the time was so “moved” by the action that he didn’t (only to fire him 3 games later the very next year).
Orgeron - People pretended to like him because he was a culture fit and “spoke like us”. No he didn’t speak like us, he’s just retarded. We had the softest LSU team of all time, getting blown off the line by UCLA, Kentucky, and Missouri. Lost to Troy. Multiple reports both officially and anecdotally of players not giving a shite during practice and fricking around during meetings, on their phones and shite. His GF showing up at practice and constantly having to look at her washed 38yo bare tits on my iPhone every day. Never again, please.
Say what you will about BK. He gave us a pretty disciplined team and we do have a consistently high floor.

I agree with this 100%

Did you miss the Florida game?

He helped stablize and right the ship.
We were dangerously close to turning into Arkansas / Mississippi State at the end of the Coach O run.
BK will be here at LEAST 2 more seasons before anything would happen.
Its just the way we have lost that is frustrating people. Not being able to put everything together in one season.
I have faith, he at least makes changes and isnt afraid to adapt to the new ways.

I don't understand why people can't be upset with what Kelly is doing without bringing up those two.
I loved Miles until 2014. After that it was clear the game had passed him up and it was time for LSU to make a change. IT IS OK TO ADMIT THIS.
I hated Orgeron, but I fully appreciate what he brought in 2019. He was one year away from absolutely sinking the program. It was time for LSU to move on. IT IS OK TO ADMIT THIS.
I liked the Kelly hire because he is a stabilizer and obviously REALLY wants a title to cement his legacy. It's becoming clear that he may never get one and LSU will probably need to move on in a few years, but he's going to leave a stacked roster for the next coach. IT IS OK TO ADMIT THIS.

This, he had a generational run here but unfortunately Saban came back to our division and Les didn't want to modernize his scheme.

Also this, albeit without giving O as much credit as others. 2019 was a complete fluke with him in charge. He at least stayed out of the way.

I agree iwth most of this. I just don't see Kelly getting over the hump here.

He gave us a pretty discipline team?!? How many drives are killed by procedure penalties? Main reason we lost the USC game was a bonehead personal foul. A boneheaded personal foul jump started Ole Miss Saturday. How many times during his tenure have we had to come back from 14-0 or 17-0 first quarter deficits because we come out of the locker room like shite? How often do we go into clutch time needing time outs but don’t have any or just one because we constantly use bad timeouts? How often is BK yelling and screaming at people because we are disorganized and undisciplined? How often is he saying, "coaches need to coach better?" How is any of that a mark of discipline?
I get the Miles and O parts even tho I liked those guys. Their time came and went and they should’ve been fired. They got fired so BK could come in and be an upgrade…but it is BS to say he has been.

I don't watch football for mediocre low ceiling, high floor content. I want to be entertained and play for something with a chance for national prominence, and BK hasn't come close and doesn't look likely to do it again this year.
He's failing at his supposed best quality of being a CEO coach. His hires mostly stink and the only good ones are retreads that he either let go originally or were likely strongly recommended by someone else. "His guys" have mostly been putrid.

The only LSU football HC's I miss are Saban and Arnsparger. Pat Henry in Track. OL coach James Cregg before he got in trouble with the recruiting violations BS. (Which lead to the fricked up Brad Davis hire by Shrimpy)

I have had this argument many times with close friends. They are big time Orgeron nut huggers. I don't hate Orgeron and I supported him even after 2020 but by 2021 even I saw that he had reverted to his true self that USC and Ole Miss had witnessed. He is not a program builder nor a program maintainer. He could never had done what Kelly did in 2022. As far as Les he was a consistent winner but I think even he would have started to falter at some point with his vanilla offense. I never demanded either one be fired but I understood when they were.
But I will also say that I am disappointed in Kelly this year. There are some decisions he made that are responsible for where we are. One was making Sloan OC. Underwood had already committed with Sloan as QB coach. He wasn't going anywhere if Kelly had hired some one else to be OC. He also should have sat Nuss at some point either LA Tech game or SE game or part of OM game to give him an opportunity to rest his injury or at least get a chance to sit on the sidelines and see what the defense is doing. MVB should have gotten some snaps in the OM game for sure.
I'm glad to see MVB is getting reps with the ones this week. If Nuss comes out against SC and still looks like he did in the OM game then they need to give MVB a shot. Or at least run a few packages with him to give SC a different look on a couple of drives.

It's possible to hold these positions and still be fed up with Kelly at this point, you know?
It's not all mutually exclusive.

It doesn’t mean you have to accept this bullshite you’re seeing now.
The guy is making $10 million a year.

2014 was when you started to dislike and not enjoy Miles? How about immediately after the 2012 championship game? Lol. I wasn’t a big fan of his virtually the whole time he was at LSU but I was totally done with him after that game.

I don't miss them. We just deserve better with the talent placed in the NFL.

That's a clown take. Being totally done with him because Saban got a do over is a huge overreaction to that game. One notch above the people that said they didn't like him in 2005.

Do we?
A large number of our fans want to fire BK right now and legitimately think that’s the right move for the program.
I’d argue “we” don’t deserve better.

Maybe before NIL and the transfer portal. Who knows what will be left when he's gone.

In a sane world, he'd be in the 4th year out of a 5 year contract and yes, in that world he should be canned if we don't make the playoff this season.
In the insane upside down world we live in where he has a 10 year 100 million dollar almost fully guaranteed deal, all we can really do is pray that he gets a stroke of conscience and retires. Barring that we have years before we can even think about letting him go.

How one could not enjoy the Mett, OBJ, Landry show and the years of Fournette and Guice rushing for like 200 a game is crazy. Those were fun teams that ran into the machine that was the Saban and Bama heyday. If Saban and Bama didn't exist the later Miles years would be so different. So many times the season was cruising right along until early November and then was derailed because Saban was that good. 3 of 4 years with BK the season has to be salvaged because we drop the opener.
