I bet the Marines have the fewest officers quitting. The USMC has been the slowest to bow to the left.

Air Force, of course.

I expect the highest proportion of departures from the military based on the new standards will be from the Air Force.

Before you start throwing shade at the AF in general, realize they are also the smartest of the services.

Brain power is not the issue. The ability (or desire) to pass PT tests is.

However, if what you say is true, the aviators and navigators probably raise the mean IQ. I would expect the rest of the force is on par with the other service branches.

From Wikipedia
Aviation Week on September 5, 2025 however, reported that Bussiere's nomination was withdrawn with no explanation.
Looks like he knew he was retiring on September 5. While it is not directly attributable to yesterday's meeting, he probably isn't a Trump/Hegseth fan.
And he likely was right in there with the bunch that launched hell on a family member for refusing to take the Covid jab.

He looks forward to ways to continue to serve the Air Force by taking a six-figure job with a defense contractor and becoming a CNN OMB mouthpiece.

Might be completely unrelated. He’s not a big fat guy or anything.

He was nominated for Vice a chief of Staff for the Air Force and then his nomination was withdrawn.

So he may just see the end of the line and he’s 62

Not gonna lie I met some smart Air Force dudes ,but good god I have also met some fricking retards also. I could say that about all the branches I have worked with. One of the smartest dudes I worked with was a Marine. He was a UAV pilot in Iraq. Every branch has smart ones and dumb ones.
