Portal is a problem….

I understand bringing in a player or two that could really help your team, but building the majority of your team off transfers is a big problem.
None of them want to be here. It’s their next stop in line, and not their goal to be a Tiger. BK has failed in his ability to build a team. Now he’s blaming others.
Stop building a team around individuals focused on individuals.

Wtf is this shite?
Most of the guys they brought in have made it clear they came here to win a championship & couldn’t do that at their previous schools.
We definitely have not built the majority of this team with transfers

Our QB, LT, LG, RT, and all our RB were recruited out of HS.
Some of our best players are transfers.
Cooley, Thomas, Anderson, DELANE, Brown, Payton, Pyburn, West Weeks, Haulcey, Gooden
All transfers

Try and build a roster of guys that stick around for 3-4 years now buddy
This model isn’t going anywhere as long as guys can transfer at will

Ask Dabo how the philosophy of not using the portal is working out

Every single transfer on defense has been good to terrific, outside of Mitchell who is not with the program anymore.

The transfer portal is a reality. The kids that are here got paid and that's why they wanted to be here, nothing more. Don't be naive.

Teams who had top 10 portal classes were 27-0 before last week then some of them lost because they played each other

The portal isn’t the problem. It’s very simple say it with me…
The problem is Davis, Sloan, and Kelly .
In that order

Transfers are some of the best players on this team. Every offensive linemen playing like shite right now were recruited out of high school

You continue to absolutely set new levels of your complete stupidity each and every day. It's incrediible.

OP has exclusively bad takes, it’s kinda his thing

You see the Nick Saban video about the NIL and portal? He was a team builder. Talking about how he and the wife had recruits and their families over for breakfast. At some point MS Terry asks Nick “why are we doing this?” They are concerned with nothing more than how much Bama will pay. This is the new era. Don’t like it but the barn doors have been opened . Just think about the #1 recruit for 2026. His family saw what Underwood got at Michigan and they will want the same or more.

Kelly, Sloan, Davis. Is the correct order.

You could say that about every high level high school recruit too. College is just their stepping stone to the pros.

Doesn't seem to be a problem for all the other consistent playoff contenders. Miami, Oregon, Ohio State, etc. They build heavily through portal and do just fine.

I don't think any issues can be attributed to the transfer portal. Outside of the Oline, I don't think talent is an issue at all with this team.

12 of our 22 starters from this past weekend are transfers.

10/22 transferred this year.
Only 4 on offense
I don’t think Zavion Thomas, West Weeks, etc should count bc OP is talking about guys who “don’t want to be here” & are only here for 1 year

You do realize that high school recruits also only come if you pay them enough right?
The days of playing for the love of the program and pride are gone with NIL with recruiting also unfortunately
