The New Orleans Saints are planning to announce they have finalized a long-term lease of the Caesars Superdome, ending a contentious negotiation with state officials with a deal aimed at keeping the team in the city.
The deal between the Saints organization and the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District, known as the Superdome Commission, is expected to be unveiled during a news conference on Thursday.
Gov. Jeff Landry, on the sidelines of an event in the Superdome Wednesday, confirmed that the lease was ready for his approval.
"I'm going to be back here tomorrow to sign the lease deal," Landry said.

Does this mean we get the Superbowl again? I saw on the news today the College Football Championship is coming to Dome in 2028.

I think we will get it in 2031. The Saint and NFL were using it a bargaining chip

Please retrofit retractable windows on the sides of the Dome, it would be awesome to have an open air feel the 1, possibly 2, game days a year that are at great temps.

I assume this is a joke.

Nope.
Imagine sitting down with a warm flat beer in one hand and another hanging out in the breeze of the dome and the CBD. Like cruising down hwy 90 in days of old.

The WWL story I just read says it'll allow them to ask the NFL owners for permission to get back into the bid process for the Super Bowl they just missed the deadline for

Saints are in the dome till 2035.
This is possibly the darkest day of Geauxldilocks existence. At least until the Pels announce a similar deal.

Yeah…..
I guess the Saints need some location to launch their horrid management style.
Just wish there wasn’t so much State Subsidies (La. Tax Dollars) involved in payments
