Midway thru season 1… there’s like 100 episodes….
Is it worth it?

Yes... but there's so many twist and turns along the way.

If you are going to be comfortable with the cycles of flash forwards, flash backs and "flash sideways" that are to come, then yes.
We prepared ourselves for Lynchian strange and convoluted turns well ahead of time and did not experience the shock and confusion of folks who watched it air in real time. In that way, I think bingers have a big advantage (as they do for groundbreaking shows like Star Trek: Deep Space 9 and Babylon 5 - both threaded shows well ahead of their time that are better binged than aired in the old model, again, IMHO).
In the end, Lost is meant to be experienced more than understood. Hope this helps.

Are you enjoying it? If so, keep watching. Not sure what kind of answer you are looking for
If you are half way through season 1 and you are not enjoying the hell out of it, you should probably watch something else.
There are numerous people on this board and everywhere that states that LOST is the best series of all time
So you may need to just open up your own mind
But yes. Its worth it for me

Don’t waste your time.
Instead, watch Dark.
3 seasons and seriously one of the best TV shows I’ve ever seen

Undoubtedly yes. Maybe more so than any other show I've ever seen. Some people may nitpick and gripe about irrelevant tiny bullshite that doesn't really matter but overall you WILL become invested in the characters to a degree likely not seen with any other show. So in that regard yes it is totally worth the ride.

I was ok with the ending but for me is was more about the adventure and not the destination.

This reminds me that I need to finish Dark... only problem is I think I would need to start back from the beginning because of all of the characters.
I wouldn't say Lost is a waste of time. I know some people were disappointed with how it ended, but it was still pretty good all the way through... we're not talking about GoT level bad ending here.

Hope this helps? He very specifically said no spoilers, and you are spoiling some of the biggest reveals in the show, you fricking a-hole.
To OP, it's definitely worth it. It's a pretty crazy ride and not everything makes sense all the time (though most stuff is at least somewhat answered). But if you are enjoying it and enjoying the characters, there aren't many better character-driven shows than LOST. The finale was polarizing, but I loved it.

This is coming from a guy who loves LOST.
There are 25 episodes in Season 1. There are 121 episodes in the series.
If you're asking yourself if it's worth it while you're 10% in to the total runtime then maybe the answer is "no, it's not worth it to you, personally."
If you're 12 eps in then you have a great idea of the main characters, the gist of the problem, and the flow of each episode with the flash forward/back. If you don't like the characters and the way each episode flows, then you're not going to like the remaining 109 episodes.

The show slows down going into S3 because there were no real thoughts about an ending. This gave that season a feeling of shite being thrown against the walls just to create questions without ever providing answers and audiences were starting to get tired of that.
Around the mid-point of S3 the showrunners decided on an ending and that the series would finish up at the end of S6. Starting with S4, the writing was focused on that ending and you could tell in the writing as you start get more answers than questions.
The ending is such that most people either loved or hated it with in between those extremes (at least initially).
If you're enjoying it thus far, stick with it and make your mind up at the end.
Once you're done with that, as another poster said: watch Dark (if you haven't already).

Doesn’t matter if you think it’s worth it. The watch of the whole series is one of the best out there. A very unique story.

The ending? No, not at all.
But if you're enjoying it, you might as well keep watching a show you enjoy. It's a quality show. But by no means is the "payoff" worth it.

Absolutely.
To me at least
I loved the ending and that it didn’t try to be more.

frick you cokes. You are the world's worst about non spoiler spoiler complaints.
You made the nonspoiler, non reader threads for GoT so unbearable I just read those long arse books.
So, again, frick you and good day sir
I... spoiled...nothing ...about...Lost

I binged the entire series last year for the first time and didn't think it was worth it.
A lot of the love the show gets is nostalgia from people who experienced something different and unique 20 years ago with a new type of show and where they had to wait a week for each new episode so they would join internet groups (also somewhat of a novelty) discussing theories and clues about what was going on.
People will say, "It's about the ride, not the destination". My counter is we now live in an era where there are much better roller coasters to ride and we now know the destination matters just as much as the ride.

I hate the constant and lengthy flashes, if they need a quick one to explain some history, fine. I hated them in Lost and in Outlander, in fact once I get the gist of it i FF through them.
